I am a week into vaping and so far I am loving it! This forum has been such a huge help to me and answered so many of my noob questions. But I have a question that I could not find an answer to in the forums. I was about to refill a cartomizer last night and saw something strange when I opened it. The little tube in the middle of the filler(sorry guys I don't know what that tube is called yet) was sticking out above the filler towards the mouthpiece. In the first few cartos i opened, you could barely see this tube because it was down towards the battery end and under the filler. I hope I have described this properly. This carto seems to vape ok, maybe a little less vapor, but I am paranoid and want to make sure this isnt totally wrong. So my questions are: Is it ok for this tube to be sticking out or is it a bad carto? What is this tube?

The cartomizers are all mass produced. Therefore, slight variation is to be expected. I have received a few duds before. Sometimes the atomizer is not centered, the battery end is not milled correctly, I notice variation in the density of the polyfill, etc.
