My first device was a 510 and I never experienced a sore throat with the atomizers or cartomizers. I just bought a kr808 and the throat hit is very harsh compared to the 510. My throat actually feels like it has been burned. Is the KR808 a higher voltage? I have been getting my juice for the 510 at Liquid Express with no problems. My recent juice (for the 808) came from V4L. I don't know if it is the juice or the device. Anyone have this problem with the 808?

The KR808 is actually a 3.7V device so your vapor might be a bit warmer than it was with your 510. The harshness might also be caused by the amount of PG in your juice. Do you know how much PG is in it?
The KR808 battery delivers 3.7 volts under load when freshly charged. The 510 battery is also a 3.7 volt battery, but only delivers around 3.2 volts under load. Something about the switch the 510 uses, I think. It's a significant enough difference to be noticeable. That's what I learned from this thread:

People are weird. I vape at 3.7 volts with a LR atty, which is supposed to be akin to a 5 volt vape. I love it.
You should probably try juices with a PG/VG mix. PG by itself can be very harsh and I think that's where your problem is. You also need to make sure you're drinking plenty of water. Vaping is dehydrating and that can cause a sore throat, too.
Could be the filler burning, I'm quite sure that would cause a sore throat. Try taking apart a cartomizer after you've used it and see if there are holes burnt through the filler material.
Try getting juices with a mix of PG/VG in them. VG will help smooth out the vape and take out some of the harshness. I use juices that are either a 50/50 mix or a 60PG/40VG mix because I don't like harsh throat hit. It works just fine and I'm vaping two mods that are 3.7V.
