I have eGo, lavatube, 510 and 808. I personally like the Kanger 808's when travelling outside my house (Kanger with Kanger Horizontal Carto).

I don't like the 510's too much since the ones I have are too skinny and long; my 808 is a wee bit fatter and shorter. I use the eGo and LT at home with Stardusts and other types or accessories.

EDIT: I just ordered a Redds; looks really nice

The first e-cigarette kit I bought was the NVSmoke from some Chinese shop where my local post office was located while I awaited my eGO XL and juices. While it was no-nic, it was interesting to try it while waiting, and it's a 808D auto battery, so doesn't really work with all my 510 supplies, though I got an 510 adapter for it recently and I'm thinking of giving it to my brother at some point along with some juice. Personally, I take my eGo batteries when out and about - my new Lavatube is my home vape machine now.

I started with an 808, I still think it's the best but sadly to get all the nifty doo-dads the 510 threading is the way to go. I have gone that way for the most part but I still like to keep a few 808s on hand for a small, reliable, easy to carry PV with great output for short outings.

EDIT:
Also for an auto specifically the 808 is the ONLY unit that works well and doesn't discharge randomly for me. All my attempts to find a decent 510 auto have ended badly.

I don't recommend the Halo cartos. I have the G6 and love it but have had really bad luck with the cartos tasting burnt really fast(like 2 days fast) and have had 3 duds out of the last ten. I just ordered an adapter and am going to try the boges cause it sounds like people really love them. The G6 batteries seem to rock tho not that I have much to compare them to . I know they are far better performing than my cig 20 batts that I started with. Good luck:)

I started with a 510 and didn't like the short batt life quickly went to an ego and now have 2 LT and 3 egos I carry in my shirt pocket. Looking forward to SS LT so I can get 2 then all egos will get passed 4ward.

Back to the 808

I use one at work and am surprised at battery life and with cartos great taste and vapor

I have both 510 & 808.
For some reason, the 808 makes the e-liquid taste better!
:hubba: Halo has great 808s, the "G6". :hubba:
You can get manual or auto,
both are sealed and great batteries!
Be sure to get the longer 78mm.
Their cartomizers last a very long time and work well.
Everything at Halo is 15% off with the code: SPRING2012 until April 3rd, midnight.
Happy Vaping!

There are great juice makers in canada :) Check out the thread

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...an-juice-w-nic-supplier-list-via-pm-only.html

I started with a 510 a few years ago.. ended up going back to analogs. ( results may vary :D )

I am now back with a Redds kit, which my understanding is an 808 style, and I love it compared to the original 510 I had a few years ago.

Things have come a long way so I can't speak for the new 510's or all the awesome different options along the way. You made the right choice asking for peoples opinions here, everyone is damn helpful and will do their best to find out what options would best work for you.

I need to get a second kit for the wife or give the wife my redds kit and try something different, I like to see what other possibilities can give me, otherwise I would be just getting another 808 kit ... which I still might end up doing :D

GL in your quest

I  the Boge and Kanger cartomizers.

Wow!
I have never lost a Halo carto;
I've got about 15 of the Element cartos and about 15 of the G-6s.
(I stocked up because of the FDA vs e-cigs)
I'm wondering if you are dry-burning them or
if it may be the e-liquids you are using?
Some types of e-liquids are harder on cartos than others,
and dry-burning them will quickly kill them.

I discovered the :hubba: CE2 cartomizers :hubba: and they rock!
The only problem with them is that you cannot
lay them flat (on their side) when they have e-liquid in them.
The e-liquid will go into the center-post
and down to the battery connection
or up into your mouth!
The Vision Stardust is great on my eGo battery, except that certain e-liquids will cause them to crack.
I found the old "syringe mod" CE2s will not crack;
also, I am getting a Torpedo Tank (CE2) from Vapor-Age as soon as I can!

Wow I was just going to start a thread like this. Thanks to everyone for their feedback. I picked up an 808 from V2 which I'm really happy with. I've just got to start getting my juice from Canada as my order from the US was stopped by customs which is a pain in the .....

V2 is overpriced and I believe they still only sell the older 808s. Not that you made a bad decision... Just saying should you need/want new hardware, try another vendor.
