I just thought I would post my thoughts regarding a KR808D-1 bundle I recieved from Liberty Flights today.

I've been using a Titan 510 for the past 6 months, and although I love it to bits, I wanted to get myself an "evening" cig. Having scoured the reviews, the KR. seemed to tick alot of the right boxes, users found it a more mellow relaxing experience.

Here in the UK, there is a much more limited selection of suppliers (in my opinion) if you don't want to go through overseas ordering, and the only supplier (I could find) that sold the KR. was Liberty Flights, who do a wonderful job of keeping me supplied with juice.

The KR. doesnt get a huge amount of press on their website as compared to the 901 which seems to be thier "flagship". However the KR is reasonably priced and except for a PCC, they stock spare batteries and supply prefilled carts. So with a few clicks, it was ordered.

Recently I have suffered a delay on my orders of juice, so I wasn't expecting a quick dispatch, but to my delight it was shipped the following day and arrived the day after.

Now I'll start with the negatives. Call me fickle, but presentation is something that I look for. I should have twigged by their advertising it a bundle, and not a starter pack or kit, but there was no presentation box to open, and everything came loose / individual within the parcel. There is no branding, in fact nothing that came with it referred to the model number or make etc. The batteries came in a standard black box marked accessories, the carts the same. The wall charger and lead in a plain white box. There was no manual, just a single sheet, some instructions on one side, standard nicotine warning on the other.

Oh and the instructions where for a 901. Not an auspicious start.

My final niggle was that on the website, the cartomiser end of the ecig was displayed in the picture as being green. Now I know I sound pedantic, but that was one of the selling points for me, the unusual colour. And I smoke/vape menthol it fits nicely. The cartomisers that came with it are standard orange, which is dissapointing.

Before I come across as being excessively fickle, moving on to the good points. The batteries came pre charged, always a bonus.

Putting it together was easy, although the cartomisers have extra "packaging" due to their nature, so I cautiously pulled the plug out, not really knowing instantly what it was.

Taking my first few drags came as a surprise. I was expecting an easier draw on it, from what I had read, but there is almost no resistance to the draw at all. Going back to the 510, it almost now feels as though I am fighting to pull the draw.

Vapour production was at first a little dissapointing. Using the mouth inhale method of drawing the vapour into my mouth, then inhaling and fianlly exhaling produced a worryingly small amount of vapour. However, inhaling directly to the lungs, then exhaling produced better results, and I imagine adding some VG will be amusing.

The cartomisers came prefilled with menthol 18mg, with no option on the website to change the strength downward, I am suffering from severe head rushes, as I am a low/ very low strength user. This of course will be rectified when I top up. Flavour wise, although packaged as menthol, where as normal menthol juice I get tastes of just that, the taste of these prefilled come across as tobacco menthol, which admittedly is nice, just not as strong/pure tasting as perhaps menthol users would expect.

To wrap up then, poor presentation and packaging, offset by an insanely smooth draw, and good flavour. Battery has been going strong for the past 4 hours of medium to heavy use. I expect from what I have read another hour before swapping.

All in all, just what I wanted, a good mellow smoke/vape perfect to chill in the evenings with a nice shot or two of whiskey.
