Hi I have kr808d-1 batteries ,manual and auto, they seem to be working fine with cartomizers. What i don't care for is the fact that the charger i got with my kit apparently has a communication problem with batteries and the light does not turn green when they are fully charged .Thats what i was told by costumer service, they also said to charge for 4hrs and that it is not possible to over charge. Not sure if i believe their response.Any advice? Also would rather have an auto charger that could be hooked to battery all the time to keep it charged. Is there a charger available ?

well i wouldnt charge your bats for 4 hours..id say 3 tops, or look into a new charger, i used to leave my bat charging all night and after about 1 1/2 months it went bad...after i just started charging for 2.5-3h i have one that lasted allmost 3moths, ans far as an auto charger that keeps it charged all the time i am unaware of somthing like that except for maybe a PT with the inline bat, hope this helps ya a lil, have a great day!-)

Dunno. If you are using a USB battery cable to a PC USB port, have you tried it on an AC-to-USB adapter?

I use a 4-port 2amp USB to AC adapter and charge a variety of batteries at once. Some computer power-saving settings power down the USB ports when the computer is idle for some period of time. I didn't want to mess with settings so I got the separate AC to USB.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by an "auto charger." There are passthroughs that can be plugged into either a USB port or a wall adapter, but there are only a couple that can be unplugged and used like a stand alone battery. Is that what you mean?

You don't have to charge them for 4 hours and they will not overcharge. You could leave it on the charger all night and as soon as it's fully charged, it will stop charging. That's the way Li-Ion batteries work.

Is this something that just started happening with your charger, or has it always been this way? If it just started happening, then you might want to try cleaning the threads on both your charger and your batteries. Just take a paper towel or a Q-Tip and wipe them out.

So is it or is it not possible to "overcharge" these batteries. The instructions that came with mine say not to charge for more than 4 hrs. Other devices I have, like my phone, I charge overnight every night. I thought Li-Ion batteries do not overcharge. It seems like kind of a pain to be always timing the charging. I have a USB charger with a wall adapter. I always charge it through the wall adapter.

Yeah that doesn't sound safe to me. I use V4L chargers (the ones with a cable) with V4L batteries and a manual Volt/Bloog/G6 type KR808D-1 threaded battery too. The batteries can be a tight fit down into the collar of those charging cables but the light does change when done. The one cursed leak-resistant auto Volt I decided to try once out of curiosity would not charge in my V4L chargers so I bought a Volt charger only to decide I hated the auto's hit compared to manuals. I also charge a standard Kanger KR808D-1 manual in my V4L cabled chargers. So I charge 3 kinds - V4L, Volt, and Kanger KR808D-1, all manuals, all in my V4L cabled chargers, and the LED on the part where the battery screws in does change to solid blue or green (with no red flashes) when the batteries are done charging. The LED on the AC to USB will never change so hopefully that is not what you are looking at - all that LED means is plugged into AC power.
