Ok, so I wanted a D1, and went to the store, and got back and a few people told me I have a D2. I assume they are correct, they work at Le Cig an another place.

But why do I feel I got a newer version, that is not even built up yet?

EVERYONE has a D-1. So much, that they just call them 808's on websites. Well from what I understand, the male/female battery/carto are opposite an they are not compatible. So, are retailers not really caught up to the 808d-2 or am I nuts?

Shout out your experience with this 808d-1/808d-2 thing.

I don't know why there a two versions of the 808. I'm just glad my first starter kit was 808-d1. I overpaid for it but at least I can get replacement parts cheap and from many different companies.

I dont know if d2 is supposed to be a newer or better design. Just opposite connections. I'm guessing the companies that use d2 are just overcharging for their stuff knowing it's a lot harder to find.

BTW Bloog is d1. I'm vaping some of their cartos now.

The numbering seems to not be chronological here... The very first cartomizer unit I ever owned was a D2. The D1's became popularized by Vapor4Life a considerable amount of time after that. Bloog, a prominent rebrander of KR808 units had the Bloog (D2) years ago, then the Fusion (D1), and then the MaxxFusion (Current, improved D1). The original Bloog (D2) hasn't been available or supported for some time. So, in answer to your question of "when will the D2's catch on"?, it's a little late for that it seems.

rip-off rebrander favorite 2-piece is the KR808D-2 - places like Green Smoke etc that don't sell blank cartos, charge $50 for a battery, etc.

The normal-price market and accessory creators support KR808D-1 which is different threading. The adapters for atomizers, the fat battery models, all of the variety of blank cartomizers - KR808D-1. And KR808D-1 is sold under it's real model number at reasonable prices by multiple multi-brand vendors as well as some reputable rebranders like Vapor4Life and I will include Bloog currently in that even though they have some kind of modified model with less voltage and more mah (as far as I know their current model MaxxFusion is KR808D-1 threading but I believe their original model may have been KR808D-2).

I can get Boge, SLB, and reservoir cartos for my KR08D-1. I can screw a DSE901 atty right on it for dripping (I have manual batteries) or attach a 510 atty using an adapter. The only thing I don't like about Bloog's current model is they don't sell manual batteries. Most people here use and recommend manual batteries.

Some like autos. I prefer a battery that is safer from getting killed by a juice leak, has no chance of turning itself one because of wind or vibration, and I like being able to press the button in early and then take my drag soft and easy or hard or however I want since my drag is not controlling whether or not it is making vapor.

Regardless of what people said - if you have MaxxFusion then I believe it is KR808D-1 threading.

OK. I am so overwhelmed I will just thank everyone and try to meet the guy from Bloog tomorrow. HA HA HA HA HA Just kidding about meeting him, but I wish I could. Get it sorted out. I just wanna know what I got and what I can buy where and such. not a lot to ask for. I could have bought one for half the price from almost any company and knew this before I got it. I went with Bloog cause it is based in same state as me and the web site was flashy an bright and I lost track of my mind, and stuff. LOLOLOLOL Nah I went with bloog cause of vapor in vids on youtube.
ANYWAY, thanx everyone for helping me in my two posts about this. I am tired of trying to figure it out. And if I see one more cheaper set with the name of the model on it, I am gonna smoke 20 cigs at once!!!!!!!
