kr808d issue

I recently received a new 808d-1 from Nhaler. After charging the batteries and putting on a fresh cart Marlb. cart that was included, I only got a short burst out of the cart. At first I thought that I may have been doing something wrong, so I filled my own cart, took a few primer puffs and that's as far as I got. Now I'm used to vaping a 510, so when I take a long, slow draw off the 808 I get nothing. After sucking fairly hard on the carto, I get the atty to do something for about a second, then it seems like it shuts off. I can suck on the battery with fairly little effort and it lights for at least 5 seconds before hitting cut off. My question is, am I doing something wrong? Shouldn't I be able to vape this 808 with fairly slow draws all the way to cut off? I have tried several carts and I get the same results every time. Please help!

Sometimes it is hard to determine what might be wrong, but first make sure that when you attach the carto to the battery that you tighten it just barely snug, lightly snug. Every time you take a vape, be sure to vape lightly, just lightly enough to turn the LED on. I would always take a short 1-2 second light vape, stop for a second (so the battery timer resets) then take about a 4-5 second light vape and it always worked well for me.

Has anyone tried out 808-s from different suppliers? I mean I ordered the same model and haven´t received it, but they are all look-alikes and there´s no way to know what is what and which is better. Would be helpful if someone did a proper overview.

If your cartomizer is one of the ones without the 4 slots along the outer edge of the rim where it contacts the battery, try loosening it an eighth to a quarter turn or so. This lets in a bit of air and makes the draw easier so that you don't have to pull so hard on it. This also helps if you find the vapor to be too harsh.

Another thing to try is to expand the two tiny slits on the side of the plastic fake ash thingie that covers the LED on the top of the battery. This lets in more air so that the air pressure sensitive vacuum switch inside the batt doesn't need as big a pressure differential and you get more air flow. Use an ex-acto knife with a fresh, sharp blade. the plastic is pretty tough, so you have to put some muscle into it but be VERY careful not to twist the blade too radically when it's in the slit as the plastic is also very brittle and you can end up busting the cover and have to glue it back on if it does break.

I've found that the draw required on my Smoke 51 KR808 is just inherently harder than my 3-piece m4xx series vaporette and long slow draws just don't work - It's just the way it is....

I'd say battery issue as well. I am still using my KR808 from Nhaler, and it's been 4 or 5 months for me.

I always make sure that the air hole on the battery is showing thru the notch in the carto, as well.

I think the redesigned kr808s from vapor4life are by far the best on the market. Leaford is constantly improving the performance of batteries, pt's and cartomizers.
