510 Automatic battery question

I have 5 automatic batteries -- 2 white ones and 3 of other colors.

Something that seems very weird to me is that the 2 white ones allow a full hit. The LED stays lit, and it keeps working for as long of a hit as I want to hit it (or at least within reason...maybe 5 second hit -- I haven't really tried ridiculously long hits).

But my colored auto bats seem to just shut off after about 2 seconds. They came like this out of the box. It's like I take a hit, and it gives me 2 seconds & then it shuts off. And if I suck harder it will come on for about another 2 seconds. I really can't get a good satisfying hit from them at all like that. They shut off before I can really get anything.

If I really put effort into sucking until the light goes off, and then sucking even harder to get the light to come on & then go off 2 seconds later...and then sucking even HARDER for the light to come back on again...
Well then I can get a slight throat hit...but the head rush from sucking so hard is much stronger by that point.

Also, I know this is not just a short in the LED on the bats. When the light is off, I'm getting NOTHING.


So...are these just defective bats?...or do they make them this way? The weird thing is, all of the bats actually came from seperate places. So it's not like I got just one "bad batch".

Automatic 510 batteries are worthless. What you are experiencing is par for the course. Get yourself some manual ones.

Some auto batteries come with an auto shut off. There are various reasons for doing this, none that make any sense to me. Either make sure that the place that you are buying them from has ones with no auto cut-off or move to manual batts. Hope this helps.

I have had the same experience I have three auto batts 2 white and one black. One of the white ones and the black one both work fine, but the other white one is a PITA. I have to suck really hard to get it going and even then it only lets me draw for 2-3sec The Manual batts I have are much better all let me take in clouds of vapor. You live and you learn.

Oh yeah, I have many manual bats.

I just like the convenience of having an auto bat when I'm doing certain things & I just want the PV to hang in my mouth and both my hands can be free. Of course it would be really nice if the bats worked correctly. I guess that, for whatever reason, they can't seem to get the auto bat technology right on the 510s?

I don't get it...the 510 is a really popular PV, yet they can't get the auto bats right...they don't really make any cartomizers for them (except for the very limited selection at leCig)...

You'd think as popular as the 510s are, someone would see opportunity in making good things like that.

I bought a kit with one auto and one manual to try them both. I've since bought an extra manual and carry two manual batteries and a PCC....That auto piece of junk stays home and will be sacrificed to the mini-mag mod as soon as my LI batteries come in the mail.
