Kraken Clone Dual Coil shorting

So my Kraken clone works great when its a single coil setup. But once I try to build a dual coil, it keeps shorting. Either coil works when you remove the other from the positive post but once both are on there, it'll short. Any ideas whats going on?

Funny things is that I've gotten it to work once, but the coils were uneven, one side would burn hotter than the other so thats why I decided to rebuild it. After rebuilding, I can't seem to get it to work.

What do you mean by it's shorting, what exactly is happening to the coils? Just shorting against the wick or something else?

If it's wick shorting, go for a looser wick. It should just barely have enough pressure to stay in place, not be very tight

Are your coils touching at all? Like one coil is touching the leg of the other coil? What do you mean by shorting? Hot legs? Hot spots?
