Hey guys and gals, I currently have a pair of 1000mah joye ego batteries USB passthroughs. I live them but I heard in many places that joyes run at 3.4 - 3.5v...

Canvape.com has these that look like egos and have the passthroughs but have 3 modes: 3.2 , 3.7 and 4.2v...

So I was thinking of getting one but never heard of KSD... I've never had a VV so this is the most basic VV "starter" model I can find and for 20$ I figured I could try VV without breaking the bank...

Thanks!

A standard lithium battery coming off the charger has about 4.2 volts. The same goes for the ego-type batteries. This voltage is being cut down in the ego-type batteries which is why you get a lower voltage out of them. No matter what you do, 4.2 volts is all you are going to get. The VV batteries you speak of simply do the same thing; no reduction, slight reduction, more reduction. On the highest voltage setting you still won't get any more real juice than you would get if you simply had an unrestricted single battery mod.

I tried one of those VV ego batteries, but was unimpressed by its performance, not to mention they are more fragile and prone to breakage than the good old standard ego battery.

A good standard vape would be a simple tube mod, something like the e-power on the low end, or maybe a Roughstack or one of MadVapes tube mods, on up to something like the silver bullet. Whatever suits your tastes. Any of these would be just like running the ego-type on maximum voltage. Granted, you can't go down in voltage, but not many folks seem to want to go in that direction anyway.

My ego VV is now in the trash; couldn't hold up to me for very long.
