I've had both (Kraken and KFL) and I'm in the KFL camp, although the Kraken would be an upgrade for you.

I just find it gives me a better tasting vape that I can take around town with me. My genny's were always a bad leak waiting to happen.

Building for either is about the same challenge/effort (I use microcoils with cotton wick in both, not SS mesh or cable for the genny's). The genny's are easier to maintain, however. The teardown of a KFL to change wick and dry burn is crazy complicated compare to a genny. Despite this, I still prefer the KFL.

There ye be :2c:

These are two different vapes so hard to compare them for me. I think it depends on what you are looking in your vape...

See for me I am a geni all the way for the best balance of flavor and vapor/ling fill. But I am a pretty dedicated sub ohm'er though. I have a KFL and all though it is good, I hate the limited air flow (for me) and thinner vapor that it gives me compared to my geni's. However it is the best/purist flavor I have had out of any atty I must admit. In the geni world for me I just fill and it runs no matter how I draw on it... Or how thick the juice is ect......JMO

Have good one... all good choices no matter what suits you in the end.

I think you can get pretty good vapor on a KFL or KF3.1 with a microcoil. On the 3.1 you also can adjust the airflow.

I guess I'm sold on the KF3.1. Will most likely order it tomorrow. I'm still happy with my AGA-T2 but after all I want to try something different.

I have 2 Aga-t2, 1 kraken and 4 KFL's but from all of them I prefer the KFL over the others.

Just out of curiosity why do you have multiples of the same? Especially 4 of one? Different juices? Setups?

You wont use your AGA after you try the Kraken or the others.

I use two Agas on a daily basis. But I much prefer my Kraken. If I could truly justify the price, I'd replace both Agas with Krakens. The KFL is not much to my liking. It's good, but it's not a gennie running mesh wicks.

Until some clever designer comes up with a Kayfun-like atty that works as well with mesh as a gennie... and a glass tank... I'll stick to the Kraken.

If you have no issues with plastic tanks or not being able to see your liquid levels with a steel tank... and don't mind fiber wicks... the KFL is a good option. If you like mesh wicks and want to find out just how good a gennie can be: Kraken.

KF or Russian are by far easier to setup and maintain. Holds alot of juice and gives a great vape. U can put the KF in ur pocket upside down all day..no no no wit the genny. I own 4 KF's also, I usually rotate mine as I need to rebuild. KF's are my daily driver and I basically vape 1 specific ejuice. I rotate them, using one with a backup built and ready to be primed and spun on. The others simply await their turn in the lineup. When I want to vape other juices I use a dripper or other atties I'm tinkering with.

Ken

edit: Having multiple KF's allow me to also break them down and take my time to really clean and inspect. Its like having a race team, always have a car in the race with the spare on the truck. The others r being prepped back at the shop. I love this part of it to b honest.

Ease of setup is in the fingers of the setup-er. Ease of maintenance is (to me) a question of accessibility and the wicking materials' need for maintenance. For me, a meshed gennie win both categories. Far less maintenance required; less work required when it does need maintenance due to much easier access to the wick'n coil assembly.

This probably won't help make the decision: The Kraken is a much better atty than the Aga. By far. On the other hand, the KFL is a completely different concept. It's always fun to try something completely different.

I would have enjoyed the KFL a lot more if I didn't mind plastic tanks and fiber wicks.

I just ordered my KF3.1. But I think I will go to my local Smoke shop and get it there. It's more expensive but I feel I need it now. My AGA just leaked all over my coat this morning. Never had this happen before. I usually keep in a fairly narrow inside pocket that keeps the mod almost upright. About a 30 degree angle I guess. I stuck my hand in it to get it out and was greeted with stickiness and a juice covered mod.

I figure if I don't like it as much as a genny, I will still use it on the road, since from what I hear the KF will have almost no leaking problems. And use my AGA (or Kraken when I buy it) at home.

I ordered my AGA (and will order my Kraken) from FastTech. I know it's in china, but everything vapeing we own, except juce is manufactured there anyway. Kraken is $13, free shipping.

Edit: Disclaimer, I'm not affiliated with them and will not get any monetary compensation form FastTech ;)
