Hi PB. Welcome to the MI group!
I just read the first page of your intro thread so I don't know where it went but I'll tell ya briefly where I've been in the last 20+ months. I got my first ecig on February 4th 2010 and threw my remaining Benson & Hedges into the wood stove in my shop. Haven't touched one since after a 40 year habit.
I only stuck with the little cig sized PVs for a few weeks though. Within a month I was mixing my own juice and building box mods thanks to this forum and my early retirement from GM. I started tapering off the nicotine level from 24 mg about 4 or 5 months in and dropped it by 6 mg every 3 or 4 months ending up at zero nic in mid July. Now I vape just for the pleasure of the flavor and to see the cloud. No more addiction. :)
I gave up smoking with the little ecigs (like the Blu) and sheer determination but moving to bigger battery mods and then higher voltage sure made it easier and more enjoyable. I'm using a few variable voltage tube mods with really good cartomizers (some are not so great) now and I'm consistently happy with their performance.
Glad you came here Mr. Bear. I'd be glad to help in any way I can. Good luck to you. :)

BTW, I'm about an hour south of Lansing.

Welcome to ECF from Grand Rapids. This is a great group with a lot of helpful people who will keep you on your path away from analogs.

I try to avoid Lansing like the plague. Not because there is anything wrong with the place or people but because of a certain store called Elderly Instruments. My biggest temptation is not cigarettes but talking myself into buying/upgrading another guitar. It's a good thing that I am not a Martin fan.

Thanks mist, appreciate the welcome and your story :)
It's always nice to have local friends to help with any venture.

I am sort of familiar with G.R., have a couple of friends over there.
I am actually relatively new to the Lansing area, was mostly Detroit up until about 2 years ago.
I know where most things are that I have needed here in Lansing however this is a new venture and will be seeking out local shops that support e-cigs.

Well as it happens I do have a big bag of money. If you can get the dye off of it, I will split it with ya.:2cool:

There is a vapor shop, store front in grand rapids. KVS, they sell a few things there, and I have been told good things about then.:vapor:

hmmm maybe no one would notice lol

While G.R. is a bit far for just that trip I'll keep it in mind when I go visit some friends there. Thanks :)

Hi! I've just found this group. I'm from Lansing also, the south side. Great to find other vapors in the area. I would like to know too, if anyone has found any good spots for vaping 'stuff' around here. I've been all over looking. Found a couple of smoke shops that carried like one off brand ecig, never heard of the brand, and I'm not sure what they were, I know not a 510 or kr8. Then try to talk to them about it, mention stuff like getting cartos, juice, battery life, main brands, etc. ...their eyes just sort of glaze over as they say how great this thing they have is. hehehe. There is a place (a second hand store on S. Cedar) that has some e-juice. Just regular or menthol, no flavors, hi or lo strength only, and cost $20, but I've bought it in a pinch before.
