Hi B16JOP, Chrissie asked me to pop over and help you out :)

firstly dual coil cartos will work fine on the Lavatube ...in fact it will happily work with anything you put on it with a 510 connection

the confusion comes as the Lavatube has a built in amp limit set a 2.5amps that saves pushing too much power to the atomiser/carto and burning it out

what this means in the real world is if you put say a 1.5ohm dual coil carto on the lavatube then you can up the voltage if you wish but the lavatube will limit it at 3.8 volts (as 3.8volts/1.5ohms = 2.5amps)...the lavatube will still show the voltage that you set it at but the output will remain limited to 3.8 volts ...hope that makes sense :)

here is a table with a few sample calculations
1.5 ohm between 3.0v - 3.8v
1.7 ohm between 3.0v - 4.2v
1.8 ohm between 3.0v - 4.5v
2.0 ohm between 3.0v - 5.0v
2.5 ohm between 3.0v - 6.0v
2.7 ohm between 3.0v - 6.0v
3.0 ohm between 3.0v - 6.0v

as you can see to get the best out of the Lavatube and use the full voltage range its best to use a 2.5ohm atomiser/carto etc

ok so now my second question is what are you using on the Lavatube at the moment?

as i guess im thinking a carto tank?
you may be interested boge now make a XXL size single coil carto that are the same length as the dual coil cartos and hence will fit the carto tank or you can get a 35mm tank that will fit the regular size cartos ...all these items are available at vapeescape.co.uk

I happen to have both, the L-Rider lavatube 1.0, and the young june Lavatube 1.5, both from solovapor in Spain. The all new lavatube 1.5 outperforms very much the first one. DC are working as a charm on them. If you still have to get one, go for the lavatube 1.5, it will work with everything, and does also Ohm metering.

I use Boge XL cartos in a DC tank. Single coil (I punch them myself) - They work really well from 4.5 - 5.5 volts. (not that I can go over 5 as the throat-hit becomes ludicrous)

I did use 3.0 ohm prepunched dual coils, but to be honest they are .... on the Lavatube. I don't know why UK vendors sell these and not the pre-punched standard resistance, as these work so much better on the LT.

Hi asha, i think liberty flights stock them, both 2.5 dual and 3.0 single in their smoktech dct tab. I found them by accident whilst I was look for new vv kit to carry on my vaping adventures next month ;)
