I have an LT and I usually vape the vision cartoes with no problem . I have just received my order from MV and have a smoktech carto tank with 1.5. ohm. When I put it on my LT it won't fire at all, no vapor no gurgling ). It does produce some vapor on an eGo battery. So the question is, is it due to carto's ohms or do I need some sort of 510 extender (I remember seeing it somewhere but cannot find)

I use a Smokteck tank on mine without problems. You may need to jiggle the center post down just a tad to get it to make contact.

Just a note regarding pulling out the center post. It will have a slot in it that might give the impression that it can be adjusted by turning. That's not what the slot is for and rotating the center post may end up breaking the wiring inside the carto.
All you really need to do is insert a paper clip into the hole and move it back and forth while trying to pull the center post out a bit. I agree with the others that this is probably your issue. I've used the Madvapes tank and various dual coils on the Lavatube with no issues. The LT won't shut off if the resistance is too low, it will just limit the voltage output.

puling on centre post on smok tech worked for me but I like small cartomator with ming tip way better.
If I were you, I would get a 2.5ohm carto. The 1.5 ohm will only alow to vape at 3.7-3.8. I had a 1.5 in my lava tube also, only produced small amounts of vape.
Thanks to everyone who helped me. This issue is solved now. There's a small hole near the threading. I just played with it a little with a tweezers so the connector is now a bit protruded and now it fires up just fine on my LT. Again big thanks to everyone
I've had some flooding issues using the 3.0 single coil tank refills from volcano where the 1.5 dual coils actually produce a really nice vape even when they do "top out" at 3.7. Seems odd to me but the 3.0 single coils just don't seem to wick quickly enough.
