If you're happy with your eGo, stick with it. If you need a backup or a new toy, get one.
The $60 Vtube chrome deal is pretty good though. I wouldn't pay $100 for a chrome LT though.
I'm not aware of any chrome Lavatube V2.
All the chrome ones I've seen are V1 electronics, including the one Volcano sells for $100 and the Lambo version.
Where did you find a chrome V2?

If you like a chrome LT, you can't go wrong with $60 for the Vtube at Apolloecigs.com
Use code Vtube30 for 30% off. It's a big improvement from an eGo.
Otherwise, wait a few months until LRider comes out with the REAL V2.

BTW, all the so-called V2s are not the 4 amps they claimed. Their current cutoff is about 3-3.2amps tops. Some of the more honest vendors have quit claiming 4 amps. The circuits might be able to tolerate 4 amps, but they'll never see it because the circuitry will cut the voltage at 3-3.2 amps.

The Vmax is o.k.. It has it's quirks. There have been some issues with the switch, but I don't know if they've been corrected. The other thing is that the displayed voltage, the voltage delivered to the coil, and the power level all have no relationship to each other. It's really quite a weird setup.

Personally, I would spend the extra money and get something like a Buzzpro or an iTaste. But, that's just me. I don't trust Smoketech or their quality control and the Vmax hasn't been out long enough to convince me otherwise. If you get one, go to Squaretrade.com and purchase an extended 3 year warranty for about $10.

I was debating getting LT or EVO as a first variable voltage unit. Some members here recommended the Ego Twist and I decided to opt for trying that one out. It has only been a couple of days, but I'm very happy with it.

It isn't as bulky as the LT so you can carry it around if you are out and about - but if you get the 1000 mah, be prepared for the fact that it is longer than the Riva/Ego 1100 mah. Cost wise it is a bit less than buying the LT Tube and a set of batteries. I'd recommend getting two of them, so you have a spare when you are charging the first one. From a ease of use standpoint - pretty simple, just twist the dial at the bottom (sadly, i'm entering bifocal territory and i find it hard to read the numbers on the dial with my contacts on ... vaping must be for young folks)

Well I did exactly what you are considering; I upgraded from an Ego to a Stainless Steel VTube from Apollo. With the 30% off it basically was a free upgrade from aluminum to steel. The chrome ones are aluminum as well. I can tell you from my first day in with this that I made the right choice; you see, I am big on the flavors and the variable voltage lets me find the sweet spot of any juice, regardless of who made it. Just my :2c:

To sum up, variable voltage is a great step forward if you are ready for it.

Happy Vaping!

icic. hi linkin20!

anyway the lava 2.0 looks damn good ah. but damn big also! and not easy to get mini here.

Hi & Welcome to ECF! I have the full size Stainless VTube; I think the body design is the same as the one you're looking at, & mine measures roughly 130mm long and 20mm diameter. It *is* a lot bigger than my E-Power 14650, which is slightly larger than an eGo, but it's not uncomfortably big to handle or carry and I'm a little old guy. Only disadvantage is I have to carry it in my pants pocket instead of my shirt, and that's no big deal. Anyway if you get one I expect you'll love it!

Best of luck & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Excellent points, except I believe the Chrome ones are made of copper instead of aluminum. :D
