In my experience, no, top coils like that do not leak so bad resting on their sides, though older CE4's do eventually leak after long use. Any clearo will eventually due to heating and cooling expansion and retraction eventually cracking glues and such or can we'll say to put it in its simplest physics. As long as the seals are good, and the heads and caps are on snug and tight, they shouldn't leak.

Are there any problems with storing/laying CE4/5 style clearomizers on their sides? Such as flooding, leaking, or any other issues. Thanks in advance.
I certainly no expert, but I read somewhere to lay them on their side. I do this with my Vivi Novas and rarely get a dry hit.
