OK, this has been discussed before, but due to posts in other threads, and this mornings successful experiment with "the worst e-juice flavor ever", I thought I'd post my "Lazarus Liquid" recipe and note some things.

It's not really a recipe, as such, but a method for saving that bottle of e-juice that you are ready to flush. YMMV as they say.

Cautions: If you think that your nasty-juice is spoiled/rancid due to bacteria or other contamination... throw it out. This is for bad flavors. Also, those with allergies use your common sense.

All DIYers, and some non-DIYers, will encounter juice that they just don't want to vape. Tastes nasty. If it's a small quantity of juice, you may wish to toss it. OK. Go ahead. You paid for the nicotine in it however, and there may be several solutions to make it tolerable if you wish to try them.

This assumes that the juice has had time to mellow out. If it is new, you may just want to age it a bit and try again.

1) DILUTION: Believe it or not, this is not necessarily the most obvious thing since the flavor may be OK, just too strong. I usually like strong flavored juice, so I tend to mix it strong. Therein lies my problem with "the worst e-juice flavor I ever tried" - it was a malted-milk flavor. I mixed it at 10-15% and almost gaged. I later (this morning) found that adding 1 or 2 drops per 2 ml of unflavored nic-juice worked OK. Still not the best flavor, but somewhat like intended. So I didn't have to throw out the old juice, just dilute it and add other flavors on top.

2) DROWN IT OUT - Adding other flavors, possibly after dilution with the desired strength unflavored e-juice, works well. Strong flavors like chocolate, peanut-butter, some tobaccos work well. The flavors have an aftertaste that helps cover up any aftertaste of the nasty-liquid. So my recipe is to make RyX:

3 Parts tobacco flavored e-juice (at or slightly above desired nic level)
1 Part Caramel flavoring
1 Part Bavarian Cream flavoring
1 or 2 drops peanut butter flavoring
1 or 2 drops chocolate (optional)
1 Part nasty-liquid (at desired nic level).

This puts you at 2/3rds of you original nic level with improved flavor. I've also used this mix with Pecan flavoring instead of Caramel.

It has 1/6 of the nasty taste liquid in it. And strong flavors. Can't say what it will do for spicy flavors, but the sweet ones seem to work OK. Vape-able.

Try the ratios in a small sample bottle 1st, tweak it.

3) Warm it in warm water. I've heard this removes excessive TH in some cases, and helps to meld the flavors in others. Just nuke some (non distilled) water till warm, and put the nasty-juice bottle in it and let it steep. Swirl/shake every 5 min. Let it set till cool. Then see steps one and two.

So, this is probably a redundant, and somewhat obvious, post. But dilution really works wonders, and the other recipe covers up well. Aging helps too.

Hope it helps.
