I have been mixing my own liquids for the last year and loving it... well, loving the experimentation and vaping part at least, the careful measuring and calculations etc not so much ! :). Since I started sub ohming I have had to up my production vastly (though with a lot less nic) and I don't know, something that was a mild annoyance before became a complete chore fast hehe.

Here are a couple of quick and nasty mock ups of version 2 of my ongoing attempts to turn mixing back into something enjoyable for me...

.. I am particularly proud of my masterfully cut electrical tape ;)

Now the only time I have to use a syringe is to measure out 1.7ml of my VG nic base, after that I just pour in my vg until it us up to the top of either the 30/70, 50/50, or 70/30 VG/PG lines (or anywhere in between hehe), drop in my ~2ml of flavours and then pour in pg until I hit the bit in the bottle where it starts to bend inwards (pretty much spot on where 30ml of water added to one of these bottles gave me, handy!).

The 30ml bottles I found for cheapness on fasttech, and to know where to mark them I just subtracted the amount of flavor I use which for me is usually around 2ml, so I have 28ml of nic + mixer left.. multiply by 0.3 for the bottom mark of 30% gives me 8.4ml of pg / water to add to bottle then mark it and empty.. 50/50 comes in at 14ml, and 70/30 is 19.6.

The nic level doesn't actually matter since as long as you put it in first followed by whatever your nic is diluted in it will be right :).. e.g. if I had nicotine mixed with pg then I would add nic first, then pg, then flavours, with vg last.

Sorry if my maths are wrong for working out exact percentages hehe, as you can probably guess the only part of mixing I actually care about getting completely right is the nic % :p

love it.
Myself i plop in some nic, squirt in some VG, a touch of premix flavor, shake and vape = done.
Steep? LMAO, yea, no time for that, it either taste good or it gets changed.

haha, aye.. the steeping part for me only usually happens if I lose a bottle for a couple weeks ;).. I did do it once properly with some of my much loved custard flavor (forget what else I mixed in hehe) think I read online somewhere you are supposed to let it steep for 4 weeks / something even though I had been getting on fine vaping it after a day. The wait was torture for me, had to really fight the lazy every time I ran out of juice and had to make some more rather than crack it open :p. In the end it was a blah vape, guess the steeping brought out some of the notes I actually dislike about the flavour.

my vg comes in 120ml bottles, and that's what I use for the main mix; then I pour that into the plastic nipple bottles; the pouring part is the slightly messy part.

I have been getting on fine pouring into these bottles from my 500ml pg / vg ones, I think the neck might be a bit wider than normal stubby 30ml ones maybe ?. Iv had a couple of annoying times where the damn needle has popped off my syringe (mine is way to thin and cheap for VG really, lol) into the mix and had to pour the juice to other bottles to retrieve it hehe, partly why I started thinking about just ditching syringe altogether and going with the pour :).

Nice Izan, I hadn't thought on weighing the liquid :)

I guess the reason I am still just making batches of 30ml bottles instead of 100ml ones that would be a lot less work is I kind of feel like I'm stuck in the experimentation stage, and liking it; every bottle I make is different and only last a few days, keeps my taste buds interested :p

hehe, 300ml of my rare never to be repeated amazing tasting flukes would have been nice I guess :).. for the most part I dunno, I don't think I'v made anything I couldn't actually smoke, just not always amazing :p

Before I finally picked up the nerve to start making my own I would sometimes buy 100ml, up to 600ml tubs of pre-made eliquids when they were on special offer hehe, isn't good memories thinking back to say 4 months of same menthol base mixed with other flavors in desperate attempts to keep it interesting ;)
