Howdy,

Ive been searching the forum and have found some info on LDPE and eliquid, but it was from a few years ago, so I wanted to ask if there was any new information out there.

Ive been DIY'ing for the past few months and have made some mixes that just taste off. I realize this could just be my juice, but the bitter taste I have gotten on some of my juice in the LDPE bottles got me wondering if it could be the bottles.

Ive read that they "could" be bad, but nothing definitive.

I looked at the chemical compatibility of LDPE which for glycerin was excellent and PG was "good", but there wasnt info on nic or flavoring. My nic is at a very low concentration so im not too concerned with that, but dont know about flavoring.

Anyway, if anyone has some current information I would greatly appreciate some thoughts.

Thanks,
Mike

No, not unless you are using some seriously caustic mixes. PE, the hard clear plastic, bottles should not be re-purposed/refilled and can eventually leach.
LDPE and HDPE are both excellent For short term storage. and Re-use.
I say Short term as many are concerned with oxygen transfer through any plastic container.
I have yet to notice any change in flavor from this and have stored 4oz Flavoring in the refrigerator for a year.
Many here recommend transferring to Glass containers, but my e-liquids do not last long enough to be concerned.

+1 on this. I have 1 year old Nicoticket juices in their original LDPE bottles and they are just fine. I do notice that the liquids age much quicker in LDPE bottles, probably because of the oxygen bleed mentioned above.
