storing juice in LDPE bottles?

A couple of weeks back I sent a friend four samples of 18mg VG (well, all VG except for flavoring and maybe a little DW depending on the juice). I used my favorite 6ml LDPE bottles - got them from TPA. They're the soft plastic bottles.

Anyway, he emailed me last night and said that he could smell the juice through the bottles, the adhesive holding the labels on had started to break down (I used a DYMO label printer) and the flavor in the bottles seems to have faded a little bit. I contacted another friend who confirmed this.

Nic base was 36mg GP VG, I mixed it with NOW VG and except for the RY4 all flavoring was Lorann.

Any thoughts, guys? Do I need to pitch the couple dozen LDPE bottles I have and start using PVC? Could it be something else?

I imagine it could have been the conditions that they were subjected to during shipping as well. Have you used any of those bottles for your personal mixes yet? I don't know if mine are the LDPE (not sure what that stands for), but I haven't noticed anything like that with mine.
