Hello everyone. First post here. I stopped smoking and started vaping 3 weeks ago today and all has been going well until the last few days.

I am using 2 Vision Ego 900 mAH batteries and I have used 3 variations of Vision clearomizers, the standard disposable ones that came with the starter kit, and 2 Vision Ego Replaceable clearomizers - 1.8 Ohm and 2.4 Ohm.

The problem is that all 4 clearomizers are now leaking slightly from the bottom where it connects with the battery, and it is leaving e-liquid on the battery connection. Also it is occassionaly bubbling when I draw on it, as though liquid has found its way in to the tube.

The clearomizers were all purchased from here...

Vision Cartomizer

They have very good reviews so I have a feeling it must be something I am doing wrong rather than faulty equipment. Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?

I feel your pain. Clearos aren't the most straight forward of devices to use. I'd recommend you take it all apart and rinse through with hot water. Leave the atty head to soak in hot water or preferably vodka for a few hours then leave to dry. When screwing the head back on make sure it's not loose or too tight, just snug. also don't fill to the top marking on the tube, fill it just underneath. And finally if all that fails, try a different liquid :)

I'm also interested in the replies. My daughter has the same problem with the Vision Clears. Shes using the CE4 and has all but given up on the whole ecig thing because of it. She has used carts that came with the kit and seperately purchased clears (both replaceable and disposable atomizers). Any suggestions would be helpful. I'd hate to see her give up but she has spent $100 trying to fix the problem and doesn't want to spend another $100 getting a new kit.

hi there, i'm not an expert but from my experience so far using all different types of clearomizer type tanks (not carto tanks) i'm finding they all leak. Again from my own experience the ones for me that have less leakage to the top of the battery and gurgling is the mini vivi novas. These can be a challenge also but for me personally, they leak the least.
Until which time someone is able to come up with a completely new design where we don't have a coil and wick attached to a hollow tube that feeds to the battery we will continue to have juice wasters on our hands. Maybe there's something out there with a different design that does not leak at all but i have yet to try \ find it. Why are all these clearo tanks all designed in a similar fashion? Is this the only way they can be done or what....

I have been vaping for about a month only, and hope this can help you. I went through some of the same problems, but mine was easily solved. But please understand that each and every clearo seems to have its own characteristics. Well, at least that's my experience. :)
Possible solutions:
1) take out the clearo and use a syringe and draw out the excess liquid from the bottom of the clearo. Most people suggest blowing through the mouth piece to get rid of the excess, BUT, it doesn't seem to work for me. 5 minutes later, it would leak again.
After syringing, fix it onto the battery and take a couple of puffs. Take it off again and syringe up the excess, if any.
I had to do it only twice and the problem was solved.

2) liquid may be too thin. What's the pg/vg ratio you're using ? Higher vg= thicker liquids

3) look inside your clearo. Look at the wicks and the rubber thingy on top of it. Maybe the gap between the wicks and the rubber thingy is too large, hence when you lay the ego on its side, juice flows into the gap.

Hope it helps! But bear in mind that I've only been at this for a month, so no guarantees. :)

My clearo leaks a little to the battery as well but I don't find it affecting my vape experience in any way since it doesn't leak to the extent where it overflows everywhere and gets all messed up

Well out of the 4 clearomizers I have used, only 1 got to the point where I just binned it. The others leak slightly, and im more concerned that the battery will eventually break as that is the expensive part. Its not like juice is going everywhere, but it shouldn't happening at all in my opinion.

I have taken apart one of the replaceable clearos, rinsed it with water and dried it (mostly). I have now refilled with 0.8ml of juice and it appears to be working ok, but im not sure if I actually "fixed" anything in putting it back together!

I figured this out for a Kanger T3 but it should work for most anything.

If you have a Kanger T3 that is leaking or gurgling, this just might be the trick for it.
What you need is a small tube of silicone caulking and a 510 to eGo adapter. The adapter will
make this trick work on most other dispensers that have a tendency to leak/gurgle as well.
In my limited experience, I have found that the center holes that run straight through almost
everything are really there so things can work on automatic batteries. Everything I have tried
also has vent holes in other places so the straight through hole is just a leak waiting to
happen.

Take a 510/eGo adapter and with the silicone, plug up the hole going straight through it.
After it dries nothing you screw on it will be able to leak through it any more.

If you notice, there are vent holes in the coil assembly around the knurled part so it will draw
through these. The draw may be slightly less easy than before but these things are like a
straight through exhaust and in my opinion the draw could use just this much restriction. It
really isn’t much tighter.

After plugging up this hole, anything that does leak will just puddle in the plugged shaft
and sit there waiting to be pulled back up where the wicks will stop it and it too will
eventually be vaporized. It will not be able to get through to the battery.
If you wish, you can dress it up with a thread cover.

This trick has stopped all my leaking problems.

I used clearos at the start of my vaping and i got nothing but leaks. Went to a rebuildable clearo and it stopped. It seems the seal on the bottom wasn't very good and I got constant leakage and it didn't matter what kind of juice I had. Laying the clearos down also causes this problem to become worse (need to keep them upright as much as possible.) Gently blowing thru the clearo onto a paper towel does help some. IMO just find something else that works for you to vape off of. Vivi's are great and I have gotten minimal leakage. If you can find a "Vision" vivi nova that would be my recomendation for a clearo type tank.

Had the same problem. I just took everything apart and rinse it through hot water and let it sit to dry. Rebuild everything and make sure everything is screwed on tight! Also make sure not to overfill! I know it says you can fill to 1.6 ml, but when I was filling it to the 1.6ml line, it always leaked. Try to fill only to around 1.2ml line just below where the wicks are sticking out. That solved my problem for leakage for the clearomizers. (I have the CE5 clearomizers btw) Been about a week and a half with no leaks so far.

I've used these a bunch and had the same problem. I found that getting juice in the center hole causes that. Also use the rebuidables. If it is too full up past the rubber guard juice gets in. if it is too under full juice can get in. I think that is a vacuum issue. You just have to blow it out. I had this problem more with the non rebuidables. Also make sure the drip tip is not screwed on so tight that you are unscrewing the artomizer when you take it off to refill. I've had that problem too. I think mx matching parts with versions and venders also caused problems. So just sticking with vision and not knock off parts works best. Discount Vapors is a good place to go but make sure you don't mix their dv brand with vision. The parts just don't quite work together.

I have 2 tanks of the Vision Vivi Novas. First tank leaked from the bottom as well. What I did is, I used plumbers tape on the threads ( 2 rotations) and that solved it. Also, I've read here somewhere here that flavors that have cinnamon in them might also affect it. Check the silicon heads as well (the one that has the metal bowl in it). Make sure the *bowl* side is facing up, when you put the cover back on, sometime you have to align it as well.

I have found that the only tanks that leak are the CE3 and 4. most of the time if you keep them full they don't leak, but once it gets just below half that's when i have a problem with them leaking.. i've had one leack so bad that it covered my eGo-C Twist in liquid. That was a mess!!!... William
