Updated to say I think the problem was the O ring - when I checked the size, it seemed slightly different (a hair smaller?) from the one I think it was supposed to be. It was probably one from my IB Tanked O rings, and not the one Rob sent! So far, so good!

It was so bad that when I left it overnight it would have flooded all over the table next morning. Hard to believe a fraction of an inch would make such a difference, but it appears to have been the problem.

Great news AmandaD :)

Hmm, I wonder if it's the RM2? I put it on the OG mini, went out, and when I came home the OG was sitting in a pile of eliquid? Could it be the RM2? ( I swapped RM2s, so this is the one that was on the other mini when it was leaking)

There's one thing that confuses me, where's all the juice coming from, In normal use my RM2 does not hold enough liquid to leak down a mod and form a puddle on the table, If I pulled a RM2 and put it on a table right now I'd only get small puddle under the RM2. The only time I've had that kind of leaking was when I burnt a cotton wick and a piece dropped in the hole and block the RM2 from draining.

If you pull the drip tip and watch a squonk does most of the extra juice get sucked back into the bottle or is there a lot still on the deck?

Another reason for a leaking which appears often in directions to the Button/Battery is a damaged rubber isolator in the 510. These rubber isolator holds the positive pole - the tube to which you connect the the sleeve by screwing it on it. If the rubber isolator is damaged liquid does not fully run down into the bottle - it will disappear into the reo housing.

P.S.
Hope I discribed it understandable because english is not my mother tonque.

I live in hotlanta and hardly had those issues in the past. Sure, if it hits 100 degrees your cup might have some juice but so will any other mod just due to the heat.

Let's face it though, I am sure Houston is the same as Atlanta. You leave your air condition at home to get into your car with air condition, jump into your office with air condition and go for lunch with air condition.

if you see a bunch of juice in your cup you know you gotta vape harder :)

OK - this thread got me thinking. Most of my juices are 50/50 or 60pg/40vg and I live in Houston where it's hot most of the damn year. We've got 2 seasons; Hot and Hell (lol) with a couple days of cool to chilly tossed in to keep us sane.

Based on this, should I assume to have the reducer tube for all my juices I use on my (soon to be purchased) Reo?

I agree.. this happened to me when I changed positive pin without checking gasket, Now I am waiting the new rebuilding kits ...

Agree, probably not an issue with all the AC locations........I was thinking more of when I'm on my motorcycle which is quite often.

I had taken this RM2 from the other mini and put it on this OG mini which has a new rebuild kit installed. The other mini seems fine with the RM2 now, and that's the one that was giving me trouble before.

It's obvious this morning that the juice is leaking out from the bottom of the RM2, even though there is a thin O ring in the base. It looked as if juice is not draining back into the bottle (and this bottle was fine with the other RM2), so I've just removed the O ring altogether. I can't get the RM2 in the right position with a thick O ring. The squonk hole isn't blocked, and the RM2 has been washed between Reos, so if this doesn't fix the problem I can't imagine what could be wrong with the RM2? I really don't want to take it apart.....LOL

Of course, I could be oversquonking - going to try hard not to do this today :p

Everyone seems to either over-squonk or under-squonk when they first start out, especially with the RM2. You can pull the cap and fire it several times, and watch to see the vapor production. If you've over-squonked, you'll get thin vapor at first, then it'll magically "blossom", then taper off as the juice gets used up. If you're under-squonking, you'll get thin vapor, that trails off even more as the wick dries out.

I'm in the under-squonker category and it took me a while to really let my evil side out and squonk the doololly out of it. If you're over-squonking, even with the extra juice draining back out, try giving it a 10 or 15 count mentally to let it soak in properly.

If ["over"/"under"]-squonking is the problem, you'll eventually find a rhythm and it'll be second nature, but I found it helped to remove the cap and actually see what was happening with the vapor.

A small o ring around the 510 connections also works, but requires a little more force when putting the RM2 on the Reo. Do it without the top on so that you do not over tighten the cap on the RM2.

Good idea - but I am O ring challenged! Where would I find a small one like that?

The OG is behaving today....I may have been oversquonking....or it may be that this RM2 likes to be O-ringless :p
