RE: Joy-tech Ego One
(Theory works for some other systems also)

I found the problem and how to permanently FIX your leaking problem. It's not the machine.... It's US!!!!
First, you'll have to clean up the mess you made.
Next, just follow these simple rules and you'll never have a leak again. This will ALSO fix any scorching issues you may have encountered. It will run like it did when you first bought it and said it was amazing.
The FIX:
Just take it all apart. Clean it with a paper towel, Q-tip and isopropyl rubbing alcohol. All the way down to the battery charge contacts.
Dry thoroughly with paper towels and use Q-tips or rolled up paper towel.
Put the base back together. TURN the air adjustment to fully OPEN.
Now, this will sound strange but BLOW as hard as you can through the vent until any moisture or old juice drips out the other side. Clean that up. Then blow through that side until the other side drips. Keep alternating until no more moisture/ juice comes out.
Now carefully fill almost to the top with juice. Be careful to clean up any drips with a q-tip or paper towel.
Put it all back together.
Last step is to turn it on, and vape twice with the air adjustment FULLY OPEN. you may get a couple of little crackles, but now adjust it how you like and your almost done DONE!!!
Lastly you must PREVENT the leaking by following ....

the USER LEAK PREVENTION:
1) believe it or not... It must stay filled at all times. You must refill when 1/3 to half way used.
2) keep in the upright position as much as you can.
If you do, it won't leak when stored temporarily on its side.
Just don't make a habit of it.
IT'S THAT SIMPLE. Let me know how that works for everyone

*** the defect may be that the system can not be vaped until dry
**** not everyone has funds for endless modifications through trial and error.
**** this fix costs nothing and keeping it clean and filled is a minor inconvenience if you're on a budget.

I do not use tanks which cannot be vaped till dry.

I always store my tanks in horizontal position. Handy. Easy. Safe.

Sorry, your advises do not work for me.

The same theory can be used on different systems, but it solved my problem completely on the Ego One.
I thought my system was defective or broken until I did this.

Most other systems don't have these problems... Maybe look into getting different tank so you don't have to be so tedious with it?
