Hello,
I just bought a Smok Ego Cloud from a local shop. I have been using it full time for about a week. (Last real cigarette was a week ago). Anyway, I tend to use it like a cigarette, vape for about 5 minutes and then put it down. Quite often though I find liquid puddle on top of the tank where the mouth piece is seated. I have replaced coils, changed the amount of airflow, changed up how I was pulling on it, used a thicker liquid. and I am tired of wiping this thing down after almost every use. I take it back to the shop I bought it from and I'm told I flooded the tank, he takes it apart, cleans it up and says I'm good to go. (I have repeatedly done everything that he just did) so I stay and start questioning him. Essentially I'm told I have a great starter kit, this is normal and treated like because im not "experienced " it must be something I'm doing, not the device. I left, 15 minute drive home, new puddle.
I'm really trying to stay smoke free but can't take much more of the issues. I don't feel like it's normal or OK to carry a paper towel around to wipe this thing down after every other use.
Can someone please tell me if this is normal to have juice puddle up under the drip tip, constantly!? If not what could I be doing wrong?

That is not normal. Ask for a refund cuz its defective. But to me it sounds like your drip tip isn't fitting right. On my subtank mini I know there's an o ring on my drip tip. Maybe yours is broken or missing. If not you might just have to get a different drip tip. Idk

I checked the o ring. It's good. I also grabbed a tighter fitting drip tip and just used it as normal. Still had a puddle of e liquid sitting under it when done. :-( I really do appreciate the suggestion. Wish that would have been the fix!

It should not be leaking. I agree with the post above, as it could be as simple as an oring failure. I could also be one of the few "dud's" every manufacturer has on occasion. I would take it back to the shop, let them "fix" it for you and then hang around in the shop, vaping and set it down to show them there is an issue.

So the one it comes with has no o ring? Well the only other thing j could think is maybe is its condensation. How much did you pay for that sub ohm tank. Sounds like one of those cheap ones. Get something good like a subtank mini. My sorry ... dropped 46 bucks on one from a vape shop. Great buy tho. I'm using it right now

(Love your user name!) Thinking about doing just that. I'm guessing if they see and hear enough out of me they will make an exception to their no refund no exchange policy. Thank you

It does come with an o ring, but I checked it all and all looks good with the original. I grabbed a separate tip and tried it with no luck as well.
I actually had asked about a subox kit initially and got talked into this. Paid $60 for this. I know kanger is a great brand. Tonight I was told to come back for the kangwr when I was ready to upgrade. Basically when I'm ready to drop $100 for the kit please $14 per battery

Likely not normal but as a rule I try to never lay mine down. Coffee table it stands up in a cup or drink holder in my truck. When not using them they always stand up in my vape stand. Some tank are just bad for leaking and/or flooding. I can not comment on your specific tank as I do not own one. Atlantis tanks are bad for all of a sudden leaking juice out the airholes. Sometimes if coils are not screwed in tight they leak. I do not believe you are doing anything wrong. Companies make thousands of items they are bound to send out a few bad ones. Good luck to you. Likely best to buy a new tank from a different store if that one does not seem to care. CHEERS!

Thank you guys for your input. I am certainly going to try to resolve with the store, in the meantime I think I'll be checking these SUBOX kits out. It's what I wanted from the start anyway. I like to support local - bUT if I continue to be treated like a silly girl I'll just order online.
In the meantime i will continue to take all suggedtions and try them.
Thank you again! You all are angels :)

If it's just a small amount it's probably just condensation, which is normal. You said under the drip tip? That's where they all gather a tiny amount of condensation. What are you vaping at? Watts/volts/ohms? I know I vape .5 ohms at different watts and they never leak, but they all get condensation if you pull off the drip tip and look at the area where the drip tip seats. It's not a huge amount though, just some. It shouldn't be leaking out though.

Follow the links people are sending you. You can usually get stuff shipped within a week. Don't pay that much for a subox kit. Try to survive that long with your current kit lol. Puddling isnt normal I think I'm wrong. Couldn't be condensation

It's .5 ohms. Watts aren't adjustable on this one. I'd be ok with a little condensation. This is within 15 minutes A Lot of liquid is puddled up there. It really doesn't seem normal. I'm very careful when filling. And it is always up right - on my desk or standing up in a pocket of my purse. So I know it's not laying down leaking.

Welcome and congrats on giving cigarettes the boot.
I have the the SUBOX mini with the tank that came with and also a SUBTANK NANO and I love them both, I vape around 20 to 25 watts on both the .5 ohm OCC and the RBA, I brought mine from a local B&M shop here for about $65 with battery. I would try to let them fix once more but if the problem persists I would get my money back and buy the Kanger from a reputable online vendor.

Thanks everyone for their help and suggestions. My husband went back with me and we talked to the owner. He also sat right there and told me it was normal., and that he owns a vape shop - that he should know. Also says he has sold tons of these and never had anyone else complain. Hes telling me this is the nature of the beast and he cannot send this in as warranty. He finally breaks down and gives me another tank to try. Come home to fill it - it's a used tank -(gee thanks) - does the same thing within 15 minutes. My husband days he is taking it to another shop to get one more opinion. So basically I'm figuring regardless I just waisted $60 on junk and I'll just have to check out the deals you all sent me and go that route. Again thanks for all your help.

You say the watts are not adjustable on your mod? A little condensation under the drip tip is normal, but sounds to me with the .5 ohm coil you are not pushing enough power to the coil to completely vaporise the liquid, so its collecting under the drip tip as you draw? That's my guess
