Leaky Triton tanks

I have had my triton for about 3 weeks now. Having an issue with 2 of my tanks. I vape longhorn 24 mg out of one and Tribeca 24 mg out of the other. Both seem to be leaking out the bottom to where the connection with the battery is. It causes a heavy gurgle and seems to effect vapor production slightly. I have made sure all pieces are tight and cleaned them both thoroughly. Just bad tanks or am I missing something? Opinions, fellow Halons?

Could you be filling them a bit too much? The condom is shoved all the way down on the coil head?

Sometimes I will hold my finger over the bottom hole of the tank (off the battery obviously) and take a few semi hard primer draws, seems to kind of reset the seals.

Is it leaking a lot, or just a couple drops?

Hi.
It isn't really something wrong. It's more a characteristic of these clearo tanks. Did you clean the coils well? It could be a sign of gunked coils and wicks. Scout around for the other 15 threads on cleaning and dry burning. No need to rehash it here.

However, the leak/gurgle does happen at times. (and more often with non halo juices, for some reason)

Assuming all is clean and assembled, take a tissue at the bottom of the tank and blow the tube clear. Yes, you are blowing the other way. Sometimes I'll go the other way, put the whole bottom of the tank in my mouth, or cover the 2 air ports, and blow the tube clear into the tip, then swap the tip with rolled tissue or q-tip. I also dry the bat top, sometimes with a thin drinking straw and tissue to get into the "moat".

I immediately take a few hits to see how I did.

And this does happen just after refilling. When screwing on the top, it might compress the contents a bit, and this will flow into the center tube. I mean, where else could it go? It has to equalize the pressures. And we are talking about just a few drops.

So, blow, wipe, repeat if necessary, vape.

Hey!!!

Great answer DaveOno.

You explain things so well.

It does seem to happen mostly when I refill and I just deal with it.

Let me tell you, these Triton tanks may flood and leak a little once in awhile but nothing compared to a bottom coil tank.

I tried a couple different ones and talk about frustrating!

Halo products are just quality and easy to use.

I love my Triton!

Thanks for being there when we need you DaveOno!
