I started out with the Halo Triton system and have been cigarette-free for six months now. However, I love cinnamon and citrus flavors and needed to switch to glass tanks. I bought some Pro Tank 3s and some mini PT3s couple with ego Twists and use those for my tank crackers. I still have about fifteen Triton tanks, three vv batteries and my two original 600 maH batteries which still work great. I've been vaping my tobacco flavors and non-sweet juices in those. I recently added a couple more PT3s and decided to switch my Halo Longhorn juice (the only pre-mix I still buy - just can't find a tobacco flavoring that compares) to one of the new PT3s. It just didn't have the flavor I was used to from my Triton tank but stayed with it for a day. As an experiment I filled a Triton tank with my Longhorn and wow! The flavor was back. I definitely won't be giving up my Triton system for some time to come! Makes me wonder if Halo formulates their juices in a way that they taste best in a Triton tank. I don't have a problem with that, just makes me wonder. Has anyone had a similar experience?

It all comes down to the wicks, coils, volts/watts IMO. Burn too cold, not enough flavor/vapor. Burn too hot, burnt nastyness

The stock Tritons were i think 3.7v. And the tanks were 2.2-2.4 ohm coils. And im pretty sure Halo forumlates their stuff to revolve around this sort of combination.
Your protank 3 should be about 1.5 ohm, which would make the coil burn hotter and you would have to dial the voltage down (3.05-3.2) to come close to what the stock triton did.

You can read up on the connection between the volts/watts/ohms/amps to get a better understanding. And there are several charts floating around out there to get you close to the "sweet spots" depending on v/ohms.

I'm quite familiar with Ohm's Law but thanks for the mention. My PT3 coil was a 2.2 ohm. I tried the PT3 at every imaginable voltage and it still didn't taste the same. Most of my juices just explode with flavor in the PT3 but the Longhorn was pretty bland. It was definitely a cooler vape with the dual coil and I'm sure that contributed to the change in taste. The problem is solved by just sticking to my trusty Triton for this juice.

It's also the pg/vg ratio of Halo's juices. I do think the Triton was engineered to maximize the taste of Halo juice. So far, no tank does better with Halo juice than a Triton.

And the best performing juice to put in a Triton seems to be Halo.

I also recently got a pyrex 510 tank for the hot cinnamon. But I know I'll have my Triton for a long time.

And welcome to the Halo section. :toast:

Phew, this thread is assurance that I'm not insane. Well, that I'm not 100% insane. That still leaves 99.9% to work with. Woooooo!

No, but seriously. I've been vaping for years, and didn't get on the Halo wagon until last year. Since then, like a good little vaping consumer I run online and buy every new (non-Halo brand) twisting, spinning, fancy, shiny battery, and all sorts of variable wattage mods... and every stupid bottom coil, air flow control, glass, dual coil, blah blah clearomizer... rebuildable drippers, Japanese cotton, bottom feeders... and you know what? I always end up selling ALL of them on the ECF classifieds and end up sitting back here vaping away with some of Halo's menthols and a Triton. I've probably gone through that cycle 10 times now, and I'm sure it'll happen again many times. I don't know if it's the research they do on the combination of ingredients with the top coil delivery system, or if it's just marketing and branding Kool-Aid (just kidding), but damn it, Halo is the freaking best.

Nope...you're not crazy Mach cuz it's true. Halo juices shine in Halo equipment....period. I did the same thing and even tried PTs (don't car for Pro Tanks at all...just me tho) and tried Halo in RDAs, RBA,s RTAs..you name it and it always taste the best in Triton tanks.

I have a strong feeling this is why some peeps don't care for Halo juice cuz they are trying it in different tank systems. Because I'm hooked on many of Halo juices, I will always have VVs and a triton tanks on hand and use them still everyday.

THIS thread just re-enforced my suspicion that even when I have long long loooooooong left my noob status behind I will likely only get a VV batt for my Triton n call it good. I have no desire to intake a cumulus cloud (I still hack/choke occasionally on the output of the regular Triton as is) and would likely electrocute myself with a MOD so I'm gonna stick with my Halo stuffs despite some brands of hardware resembling light sabers.....mebe if I pester Ms Cinder enough she'll get them to make me a spechal batt to shut me up hehehe

I love my Halo Tritons, I USE IT ALL DAY EVERYDAY. I've tried some other equipment but I have to have my Tritons. I like the top coil for flavor better than any other tank. Bottom coil tanks to me just mute flavor too much whether it's Halo's ejuice or others horny ejuice. The mini Nautilus BVC being the only exception I've found. :)

What she said. Except I'm getting the mini nautilus delivered Tuesday.

Slaveone, yes, get a Halo VV, you won't regret it. And maybe you can dial out your hack.
