LOL, I never thought of that, but I do wash my hands after handling any juice.

I'm sorry, I'm trying really hard not to laugh here. That could not have been a very pleasant moment for you.

As a rule of thumb, it's *always* a good idea to wash your hands after handling liquids - especially so when you get some juice on your fingers.

LOL! I once went to a bar in Georgetown when I was a youngun that offered free beer all night if you cold eat a plate of these insanely hot peppers in 5 minutes, without crying or asking for water. Being a young paratrooper I thought, "Hey! Free Beer all night long, WTF I can do this, bring it on!"

Well I did consume these death peppers that were hand picked by demons in the southernmost reaches of hell within the prescribed time period without crying or asking for water. Like any good troop I immediately began consuming copious quantities of beer. Of course nature ran it course and I can tell you that even though I washed my hands the capsaicin ran through my system and I felt like a human flamethrower most of the night. Yep its not only an "external" issue LMAO!

Best laugh I ever got... the ex-hubby was making salsa and using habaneros. He forgot. I could hear the screams from all the way in the kitchen. I told him... Cruel on my part to laugh? Not if you knew the guy. Anyway I always wash my hands very well. Capsacin is oil based and hard to remove. I think that's why the body doesn't always process all of it (correct me if I'm way off)and you get a second burn on the way out.

It's probably pretty soluble in alcohol. If i had to guess I was manufacturing Capsacin extract without the proper safety gear hehe
