Hey guys! My name is Mike, I'm new here!

I have a Smoktech SID with a ToBh atty clone that I have been practicing building on and can say that I'm quite happy with my experience but I have come across some questions.

I know my mod won't fire below 1.2 so thats done but when I build my coils what volt/watt should I be firing at?

Currently I have 2.3ohm build in the tobh and I have been firing at 6 volts and 15 watts. Now my question is, is that too much for what I'm building or should I be fine firing at max volts/watts?

Also I have built a couple of 1.4-1.9 cols but every time I fire them they bounce around from 1.4 to 5.6 to 3.4 then back to 1.4. Is something wrong with my mod, atty or should I just not build coils that low?

Oh and one more thing, I just got a new sony from a local shop and it almost looks like its leaking. Is this safe to use or should I get another battery?

Thanks for your help guys!

First off, I'd like to say how happy I am that you are learning about your RDA on a regulated mod instead of jumping straight to a mech!! You are AWESOME!!

Now, your mod is probably fine... you are vaping at 6 volts OR 15 watts... (mod goes off of whatever the last setting was)
Feel free to turn it up or down to get the end result that you are looking for... you aren't going to hurt it...
You can build the coils as low as your mod will allow and everything should still be fine... (I don't know how low the SID will fire)

As for that battery... I don't like it, I'd get rid of it... (but I'm pretty picky about my batteries... if they look at me wrong, I send them to the recycle bin)

Welcome aboard and Happy Vaping!!

One of the great features of a regulated mod is the ability to change the power you are using to vape it. Try turning it up and down to see what you like best. It will be different for different coils, juice, attys, etc.

With a regulated mod it will keep you out of trouble. If the coil is too low it will not fire. If it is a little too high the juice will taste burnt. The worst problem you night have is that the coil will pop, part of it will melt not the popping sound heated juice makes, if the power is way too high.

Thanks guys! I have a backup battery that I'll use until I have time to go back to my local shop and talk to them about my battery. I have been having fun building with the tobh and actually really want to get my hands on a tugboat or stillare clone. One of my favorite things about vaping is the ascetics of the mods and being able to customize it to my liking!

I love the regulated mod. It gives me enough of a hit that I am satisfied with it now! I feel like eventually I'll move on to a mech because I don't like how tall my SID is but honestly I just really enjoy not having to worry about the trouble and hassle.

Also, what are some good threads to chime in on? I would really like to get into some of the conversations and learn as much as I can!
