I am pretty new to all this...just been at it for about a month. Currently using a Coolfire IV TC100. I am interested in not only quitting, but also vapers as a hobby.
What would be my advantages to mech mods? I am actually looking for a deeper lungful kinda draw, so would a mech mod give me that?? Or should I stop with the mech mod envy and stick to what I have? (Yeah, I got that little quote from SteamMonkey U, credit given!)
Overall I enjoy the start of this as a hobby, and it has helped cut back on cigs. Hopefully it turns out that vapers are right, and these don't have some deep dark unhealthy secret. (Remember, at one time, nobody knew how bad smoking was for us.)
Anyway, hi...and by browsing your site, I was impressed by how knowledgeable and helpful y'all are. Thanks for a lot of info I've already gotten just by browsing.

The deeper, cloudier, different hit is probably more directly related to the atomiser/tank/rda etc, than to the source of power. Personally, I like a mech - but that wouldn't necessarily provide the change you seek.

What kind of "topper" are you using?
You can put a dripper or a tank on your Coolfire.
You can look for something with a lot of airflow flexibilty - and either build your own coils, or try different types or premade coils too... Those are what will change the vapor output most dramatically.

For you, with a 100w TC mod there are no advantages to using a mech mod. I would drop the idea completely for a while. We used mechs to get 25-60 watt vapes when there was no other way. There are some reasons to still use one but a safe vaper won't switch to a mech for power anymore.

Virtually all the injury accidents that get in the news about vaping involve mech mods and some of them are quite serious. There are a bunch of ways for users to screw things up that aren't intuitively obvious. I had a phase where I thought I wanted to get involved with mechanical mods. My enthusiasm faded as I learned more about the issues. The people most likely to get hurt are beginners, most of them younger men.

As has been stated previously, if what you are seeking is a deeper lung hit, you'll get that from the juice attachment, not the mod. You'll want something that has a wide range of air intake control and sub-ohm capability.

I'm a little surprised that you aren't getting that from your uWell Crown tank already.

Bad, I probably should be getting that hit from my setup. I think I am just so new to it, and have tried relatively few changes thus far, that I haven't yet found that "sweet spot" that you guys talk about on here. Matter of fact, I just this morning found the temp setting controls on here. I guess now it is just a matter of experimenting with the box and the nic level.
