Hi! I got a bunch of 100ml ejuice bottles that I've been steeping for about a week and I've noticed that the flavour has been greatly improved.
Would it theoretically be okay to leave the caps off pernamently without ruining the juice? What changes would there be? I read a while ago that the nicotine level could drop, I don't mind that since I'm about to step down a bit on that point but other than that what could happen?

I'm not convinced you have to do anything more to a juice that you steep other than leave it alone. I think the "open the bottle to air for 2 hours a day" is nonsense.

You may be able to speed the process up if you rattle it about in something like an ultrasonic cleaner, but that's all.

Depends on the flavours too, with tobacco ones benefiting from a waiting period/ steep.

You can actually LOSE flavor by leaving caps off for long periods of time. For that reason, I would not leave off permanently. There have been multiple posts from people who have complained that they lost all flavor by leaving caps off for too long.

Airing out your juice is NOT the same as Aging (steeping) it.

I agree with rabernet about leaving the caps off for too long. Steeping can do great things for ejuice, but it's also possible to OVER steep it. With 100ml bottles, you might want to pour some into a smaller bottles (it will steep faster that way, too), then keep the larger bottles in a cool, dark place. The larger bottles will get plenty of time to do all the steeping they need, so you probably want to open them as little as possible in between fills of the smaller ones. If you want to experiment with extended "airing", you should probably do it with the smaller bottles, in case you overdo it.

Many juices use extractions for flavoring...especially NET juices (Naturally Extracted Tobacco). Some of these extraction processes use alcohol. The result is an extraction laced with the alcohol and when the juices are mixed there is alcohol in your bottle of juice. Alcohol is not an especially pleasant taste to vape plus it ......s steeping. So to remove the alcohol, you simply take the cap and dripper off your juice bottle for a day or two to allow evaporation then recap. While it doesn't hurt the juice to leave the caps off indefinitely, there is no advantage to do so. And yes, steeping is nothing more than flavor molecules bonding to the other ingredients. But flavor does not escape through the bottle opening. Caps off for a day or two is NOT nonsense. Ask your vendor if they use alcohol in their extractions. If they do, then caps off for a day is advisable.
