compared to heating an element up to a temperature that will vaporise PG/water hundreds of times on a charge, the LED drain on the battery will most likely be fairly negligible (about 20mA perhaps?)
I don't know the current consumption of the atomizer, but my minipipe battery is rated at 250mAh, and I can vape it flat in a couple of hours, while it ought to be able to run the LED alone (and constantly) for over 12 hours (250/20).
So I guess it would give considerably less than 5% extra vaping time if I disabled it. But I'm no great electronician, so my math could be shaky.

Most e-cigs have an LED that lights up when you take a puff. We all know this.

What I'm wondering is... Does that LED eat up significant power from the battery? If so, it would seem to me that disabling the LED might extend battery life.

No LED's Do Not Eat Up Power. The Amount Of Power The LED May Use Around 2 - 5% (Approximate, there are variables) of The Batt Power.

You Can Search LED's and Power Consumption.

Keep Vapin!
