LED Genesis tank mod help :schematics:

I want to do is set an led above or within the fill hole of my rba so it lights up as the coil is under load. Iwent ahead and made a small simulated scmatic outlining a parallel circuit. voltage and amperage meters are also included to have a look at applied electric loads. would this be a viable approach? also how will this work on variable wattage mods, as I thing the total resistance may be waay off.

I would think all you really need to do is tap into the coil contacts, but using a low voltage LED with a 1k resistor in series. 1k is not going to make any notable difference in the wattage.
