LED set up question

I'm gathering up some pieces to make my 5v mod and just wondered how you set up an LED so it comes on when you hit the fire button instead of always being on when you hit the master switch. If it helps I'll be using the same wiring set up as in the one EZ uses in the madvapes tutorial. TIA

Just run it in parallel to the atty output voltage, from the switch or regulator if you are using one. I find putting the resistor before the led works best. hoog

Here, let me put my helmet with face mask and extra padding on... Ok, now that I have all my parts in front of me and I am by no means good with the lingo as of yet. (I like my pop up books with the purdy pictures.) I'll essentially be setting it up like Stomp did in his tutorial in the madvapes 5v Reg's Rock thread, correct?
