In which states have they actually banned the sale, advertising and use of ecigs. I know I have seen a lot of proposal but dont' actually know which ones have received bans.

How does this affect those states. How would this affect a supplier in those states.

Martha--that is the FDA's position although the only enforcement action with regards to e-cigs has been the use of their embargo powers by issuing import alerts.

Hold on a sec, just had a thought.. Right now we're in the jurrisdiction of FDA, but if nic juice is classified as a tobacco, then we fall under ATF, is that so much better? I can just imagine these thugs busting into some DIY home and busting people for making their own juice, or manufacturing mods.

I mean, you can't make your own gun or alcohol, can you? (legally)

That's a really good question Yankee.... I can only imagine getting busted for having liquids.

Though, people have learned how to make their own ecigs. And making liquid isn't exactly hard to do (I wouldn't know my grandmother would know more on that one I just buy liquids lol)

But yea great question, would love Sun's answer to this one.

you can make your own gun and alcohol.

atf is not going to care about it.. they are more concerned with the ppl making missiles and smuggling assault riffles

as far as not being able to get supplies.. there is items like the magic wand thing.. there is also coils used for pyrotechnic displays that would work like a atty..

It's my understanding that you can make your own alcohol, you just can't sell it without the proper permission and tax collection. I believe tobacco policy and control is now under FDA rule. The ATF just enforces laws against smuggled and contraband cigarettes and such.

How's that working out for the government?
Pretty good, actually. Few people distill their own liquor these days, but that's only because the government has kept liquor taxes low enough so that it's not worth the time or trouble to distill your own liquor. If the government jacked up liquor taxes as high as cigarette taxes, I think we'd see a flourishing black market.

IMO before looking into people making their own nicotine or alcohol they should be checking into .... labs and things much more important.

Just like someone on the forum said cops busted a bar for serving alcohol before cut off time then he went to the bathroom and paying for it after the time. I think it would be more beneficial if they would wait outside and bust people for getting in their cars and driving (I see this all the time)
