After nearly 40 years of smoking I am 95 days analog free today! I am very comfortable now with the equipment I have currently settled in with after my initial buying spree. I was all over the place starting with Green Smoke to Tornado tank and finally my Provari with every cartomizer and atomizer on the market.
:p

Enough about me. I am sold and appreciate all the help I have found here. Trying to convert the wife and every time she takes a hit on any of the devices I have accumulated she ends up coughing.
:(

All the juice I have is 24mg and usually around 70/30. I am thinking maybe lower nic and more VG will work for her? She currently smokes a pack a day of GPC lights. Any suggestions on a juice that might alleviate the coughing?

lower the nic to 12-18mg for less of a throat hit.
lower the voltage(to lower the wattage)
use juice with more VG, i prefer 70%VG-30%PG and water instead of alcohol(when diluting VG)
some flavors have more throat hit then others.
non-vapers find it easier on the throat when inhaling first into mouth, wait a sec, then into lungs, or sucking in more air with drag helps to.

Nicotine is the main factor of TH.

Heat can add to nicotine's TH (So devices like KR808D-1/Vapor4Life etc or their incompatible near-twin Greensmoke/E9/KR808D-2 which are real 3.7v devices have more heat than the average slim ecig. And fat battery devices often come with low resistance atomizers - if that is what she is using then try standard resistance atomizers or cartomizers)

VG can smooth the vape but if you go over 30% it may not wick as well in cartomizers or tanks, may be more sluggish at keeping an atomizer damp, etc). In cartomizers I now use 80pg/20vg for good wicking.

I would go 18mg - she won't be jonesing for nicotine - with less Th she could take bigger drags. And a couple of extra drags would make up the difference anyway. 16-18mg 70pg/30vg has a nice amount of TH especially on a 3.7v device.

My sister coughs as well. I tried to explain about how to draw, etc.

I ordered her some 0 nic. (I think I ordered her vanilla mint) juice to practice with. I'll see how she does with that. She definitely needs higher nicotine to quit, she was a heavy smoker. I'm thinking (I hope) that she can practice with the zero and if she doesn't cough maybe slowly up the nicotine to where she needs to be.

At least that's my plan. I don't know if it'll work.

Yes, the draw on an e-cig is all important. It can vary quite a bit depending on a host a variables. If nothing else have her take quick, short, shallow puffs...little mini puffs. I think that can be helpful in getting a feel for the e-cig experience. She can build on that to make up whatever type of draw suits her.
