Went to my local B&M tonight to buy a second PT2, a spare base for testing rebuilt heads on my MVP, and a pack of heads so I have a fleet to rebuild all at once.... Paid 11.99 for the heads... should have ordered them online much cheaper, atleast the markup on the PT2 was 2$ less than the shipping would have been online.

Wow $11.99 eh? ... I have never been to a B&M, and even if one opened up down the street I doubt very highly that I would buy from them. The mark up on product "has to be" higher in order to cover the overhead costs of a storefront, which is much greater than a webstore.... I hope they were at least authentic Kanger coils.

Not all B&Ms have high markups. I go to Vape Dojo as often as possible, their pricing is awesome on most stuff, and I like supporting them when I can. Unfortunately they are quite a drive from me, so it is a 1/2 day trip (including time to stop, visit, and vape). I wish they were closer :(

Anyway, if you have a good B&M locally, and you visit often so they get to know you, try asking them to price match products. Maybe they will, and maybe they won't, but unless you ask, you pay what's marked.

Either way, if you need something and they have it, sometimes it's worth a little more to support a local business (and get what you need quicker too).

I had a great time today at the shop. I was picking up my juice that is made by a local guy and gets dropped off there. They weren't busy at that moment, so we got to chat away about vape stuff and general stuff. It was really nice. Then when they got busy, I'd just hang back or chat with people. It's a tiny little place, but so welcoming. I love that part. Sure, some of their items are higher, not everything is outrageous. Can't test out flavors OR equipment at an online shop.

I think it's important to support the "good" local B&M vape stores. I emphasize good because I've been to a couple that knew less about vaping than I did and I'm a relative noob.

I got started vaping because of a good, helpful, no pressure to buy anything B&M store with very knowledgeable people running it. If not for them, I might still be smoking. Unfortunately, they are not local (about 50 miles) or I would stop in from time to time just to help support them. I do however refer people to them that would like to stop smoking and start (or at least try) vaping. It's a one stop shop with everything from starter kits to juice to a large selection of mods.

Many people would be glad to pay a few dollars more for the opportunity to "try before you buy", and I am in no way advocating try it
there then buy it online. Please do not do that. I think people that do that are thieves because they are stealing the salespersons time and taking away the opportunity for them to make money.

That being said, I do buy most everything online now. However, if I ever decide to buy a Provari I will go to the above mentioned store. ;)

I'm at my fav B&M at least once a week. They have an awesome staff. When they have a new vaper come in they take them to the juice bar first to try several different toppers while picking their juice. Then once they have a flavor or 2 nailed down. They go over the toppers that they liked while tasting.

They won't let a noob get out the door until they loose the confused look and understand their device.

They rotate the sales so frequently that it's rare to have to pay full price for something unless it's a dire need. It's not unusual to see 4 people deep at the counter on Saturday with 3 or 4 working, but even then they take the time to make sure the customer is well taken care of.

I don't mind the markup for that kind of customer service.

Sounds like my kind of place! That is what I love about a good B&M! I really wish there were one closer to me!

Nothing like having a local B&M when your juice is stuck in the mail somewhere. We had a very iffy start when we switched from analogs because there were no local places in an emergency. Our favorite B&M is getting ready to open their 5th location since we started and they are always busy in all of them.God Bless local B&M and Joe!

I've only got one in town that is worth going to. His prices are a bit high, but he is really trying to improve his shop. In the next town over, there is a Totally Wicked store that is really nice, very knowledgeable staff, pleasure doing business with. The rest range from starter kit farms with lousy juices to 'cheap smokes' type places. Very jealous of folks that live in places that can support really awesome vape shops. Enjoy them! Good luck and have fun!
