Let’s talk JUICE!!

I thought everyone was using the fancy little stainless steel drip tips that some of the high end suppliers sell. It was one of the first things I learned over on the DIY Forum, that way everyones drip/drop is about equal but then I guess you could screw that up with out much effort if you put the kung fu grip on the bottle.

Drip tips are what the drops are falling thru/into, usually for atomizers, not what creates the drops. Eye droppers, squeeze bottles or even a syringe can make drops.

What I'm saying is :

each "dripper" can have a different number of drips/drops to make a ml.

Are you using a glass or plastic eye dropper, drip bottle, pipette etc. each can have their own number/size of drops.

Every liquid may have a different number of drops per ml. For example I actually counted drops for myself and found that water is actually more dense than PG. Water = 28 drops, PG = 37. So depending on the content, different juices could in fact have a different "drop count". But then again, I was using MY dropper.

Every vendor could/might use different bottles meaning different drop counts.

Did you count your drops correctly, were you using the same pressure for each drop, was each drop the same size and it goes on and on.

In a discussion with the e juiceme up guy, he said drops are not accurate and should not be considered a "standard".

Because of all of that, that juice you created, that tastes so good to you might not be the same for someone else because of all these varying factors.

I think this drop thing was the way it was before all these calculators were made for DIY. The "old boys" had to use something in the beginning. But now with the calculators it is easy to get # of ml's or less( .05ml, 1.5ml etc).

I am not trying to convert anyone, I'm just a Type A personality. You know, I can spot a crooked picture as soon as I walk into a room. Has caused me problems my whole life.

I would just like to be able to re create what someone else has found so tasty!

Because of this, when I see a recipe over at the DIY forum that says so many drops of this or that, I just move on. I want to see a screen shot(ejuicemeup or something)

and

so I can see the %'s and ml's. But thats just me.

Without starting another thread, I have another question. Last night, I was drinking homemade tea. Everything I vaped had ZERO taste.......I kept trying different juices and nothing....just bland vape. This evening, same thing. Anyone else every have a dead taste bud night?

I'm thinking most people, in the beginning, have the same problem. At least I do. Consider this, that first bite of that cookie was WOW, but as you keep eating that taste falls off. Remember that lasagna that was sooo good last night but not so much today. Same thing.

I think over time, as our mouths get accustomed, it will get better. At least I hope so. I've been doing this for only three months and still haven't found "that juice" that keeps the same flavor all the time and I only vape my own flavors. What I've started doing is I have a couple of flavors and I rotate vapes. Kind of like "clearing the pallet(sp) in wine tasting. Seems to help a little but the flavors always fades. Another trick is to exhale through your nose. I've read that is where most of the flavor is tasted anyway.

So yes, what you are drinking can affect the taste of what you are vapiing. Besides, its recommended to drink alot of liquids while vaping. PG can dry you out. Find a drink and stick with that. Water is probably the best.

I guess to be clear, these are all pre-mixed juices. I havent found a good way to mix other than the clearos at this point and other than a lot of swirling around, I am not sure how well it mixed. I have plenty of cartos but since I flooded two, I can only do 50/50 splits. I guess I am just going to have deal with what I make in at least 1ml quantities.

Yeah. It may just be your buds reforming. Needless to say the liquid vendors loved me for that period. I also had a week of headaches. All is good now. It was frustrating.

Btw i just finished a ce3 of 7 different tobacco flavors mixed together. I wanted to get rid of samples. Mixed them in a 3 ml drppoer bottles. Man it was good. Sadly, i wont be able to replicate it. Too many drinks last night.

Yup. Quit smoking middle of june. I had a couple here and there for a month but not since. I tell ya i almost gave it up but then i realized how nasty a smoke was and it wasnt even close to that. ECF and the people here were a godsend. When i hsd the urge for a smoke i just read ecf. Magic i tell ya

Up to you. The stuff i liked prior i couldnt stand when they came back.

I used some high menthol in tht period. It is a nice cleanser if you can stand it.

I had quit for 2 years and started one or two here and there. Then 3 or 4 and decided that wouldn't do. Nothing since June and down to 3mg. Them Stinky's like to sneak up on ya. Glad I got into vaping!

1/3 RY4 and 2/3 Caramel Apple is LOVELY!

1/2 RY4 and 1/2 Caremel Apple is good

1/2 Chocolate Strawberry and 1/2 Mocha Java Drizzle (which is beyond awful by the way) - not good at all and with added Choc Straw, it still isnt even tolerable.

1/3 Chocolate Strawberry and 2/3 Bannanas Foster is pretty good

1/2 RY4 and 1/2 Cappuccino was "eh". I didnt really care either way.

It's weird, I keep going through phases of not being able to taste any flavor when vaping to tasting it. When it goes, it just tastes like I am smoking cardboard and then the next day, I am fine.

RY4 and Cappuccino were SI, the rest is Vapedudes. I dont typically try multiple vendors until they give me a reason not to try them any longer...............wouldn't have actually went to Vapedudes but I really only liked 4 SI flavors and found I really dont like 2 of those.

I am just mixing them in a shot glass and putting them in a clearo as well. Using the syringe as measurement and basing everything off of 12 units or 1.2ml. I hate math.

Careful mate. Keep the shot glass of tequila separated from the shot glass of liquid.

Keep them coming. I have a few apple types. A few weeks ago didnt care for them. I tried some poison with the apple ice and didnt care for it but was vapable. Poison is the name of the liquid. It is tobacco with floral hints.

My favorite has been ry4 and 555 so far. They are rawr vapors. 50/50 mix.

I hoping i get my diy stuff soon. Got some ry4 555 menthol vanilla and black cherry. Will see how it goes. I am dieing for SI liquids. The premixes just don't seem to do anything for me. Everyone seems to put a ton of sweetner in everything.

You know, it is funny; I smoked Marlboros for 20 plus years and I thought I would like tobacco juices and other than the RY4, I dont like any of them. I dont know if it has something to do with my success with not smoking. I have some more juice on its way and then I am going to try some more mixes.

I doubt I am going to go DIY, I over-do making a Jack and Coke (50/50 mix) so chemistry likely isn't my strong suit

Same here drum can't make a not strong drink to save my life. I don't have the space to do DIY. So I'm gonna stick to mixing it up premix style.

I really like the buttery nipple flavor from vapedudes... realy nice flavor but kind of thick I love their spearmint for a cleansing factor....

I haven't run into any flavor deadening but I did notice everything seems a bit sweeter than I'm used too was mentioning on a different thread when i dropped my nic level the sweetness came through more has anyone else noticed that or am I odd... I like mixing the premade flavors....

vanilla and mint go nice together I usually just add about 20 drops of van and 10 of mint... a 2/1 ratio works good I'm still on that epic search for a good coffee flavor

is the RY4 from SI a good standard RY I want to try that flavor but seen so many different thoughts on different vendors it's kind of a little scary I also like to not goto too many different vendors though so i will prolly stick to my 2 favorites...

I read elsewhere that the RY4 was voted top 5 - I liked it and I have actually ordered 3 bottles of it and a few cartos (that I may never vape) and on your other point, I just read that the nic is bitter so the lower the level, the more the flavor so you seem to be on track.

From my personal perspective, I think the Mocha Java Drizzle is nasty - it was like licking the shoes of a race track maintenance worker or having to eat the trash of a farm hand. I really liked Caramel Apple by itself, Strawberry Cheesecake by itself and Bannanas Foster. The last two are sweet with 16mg nic but I also got extra flavor and liked it.

On that note, I mixed RY4 and Bannanas Foster (50/50). I can taste more BF than the RY4 but still good and I am going to try a 2/3 RY4 and 1/3 BF later (maybe watermelon and grape soon)

Anything that has mocha in it taste nasty to me. It reminds me of the smell and taste I had when my dog got sprayed my a skunk.

How about Watermelon caramel apple bananas foster?

It's too much math for me right now to combine more than 2 flavors. I dont have any extra bottles right now so they either have to be in the shot glass on in the clearo............and I have a curious cat

I know that taste is subjective but out of everything that I have ordered, I can actually vape all of it except the mocha java drizzle. So bad that I would actually feel bad about PIF-ing it to someone else. It tastes like Juan Valdez and Mr. Hanky had a love child and that child was put in a blender with saw dust and lima beans.
