EXLUSIVELY SMOKING EACH DEVICE ONLY ... (although I probably use all 3 in the length of a day)

Was a 20-30 cig smoker per day.

Penstyle -- 2/3 Carts per day. (without topping off with eliquid)
DSE901 -- 2/3 Carts per day. (without topping off with eliquid)
Cigar --1 maybe 2. They last for forever. (without topping off with eliquid)

EDIT: 100 carts will probably last me about 1 month.

njoy - 1 cart every 2-3 days with no top off, though I was just getting the cartridges while i waited for liquid, so I wont be getting them anymore. just once in a while cause i really like the taste, but its not worth the price
 surprise ur smoking habit is not much?

1 cart can last 2 to 3 days?

sometimes 2 will last me a week, so even 3.5 days for 1

I was a 5 a day smoker before I started e-cigs. In highschool was the most I smoked, and I was only maybe 12 a day back then
:Dno wonder...

last time I used to smoke 10++ if more stress nearly one pack..
now only at most 4 sticks.real ones

with e smoking constant...
I will see how it go...

Penstyle Carts hold approx: 1ml of eliquid
Cigar Carts hold approx: 2ml of eliquid

Cigar carts are HUGE!

Cigar is my #1 esmoking device :thumb:

a pipe holds about two ml cash.. they really are huge.. a classic holds around one ml.. a mini half that..

a cigar whilst being bigger than a classic is nowhere near the size of a pipe.. they cant hold two ml.. i have some coming this week i will know for sure exactly how much when i measure them.. both in how much can be syringed out and how much can be put in..

mathematically your figures dont add up there must be some other factors at work..

i think bigger size carts waste more liquid than the smaller ones.. think being the operative word.. i dont know for sure.. but if the 30% that cant be gotten out of the cart is correct.. 30% of 2 ml is a hell of lot more than 30% of .25 ml.. one of the reason i drip is to avoid this wastage..

start with the one ml classics as the norm.. three classics should equal six minies.. or twelve super minies.. or 1.5 pipes.. a cigar somewhere between a classic and pipe..

it quite clearly dosnt pan out this way.. i drip so cant really say how many of each type i would use per day.. only guess but based on my two to three ml per day liquid usage that equates with one hell of a lot of minies or even more super minies..

i think my cigar carts when they arrive will hold no more than 1.25 ml of liquid.. i will know for sure soon..

Understandable Trog. The cigar cart (looking at the depth of the cart and the circumference) seems to be MUCH bigger then the Penstyle. That is why I used the great guestimation skills ... lol ... and said 2ml.

I have never really just smoked 1 device exclusively for an entire day. I switch things up a lot, that's is why I gave averages on what I thought I would smoke daily.

That and the fact I smoke zero nic cartridges. if I don't feel like smoking 1 day, I don't, but I always enjoy it so those days are very rare!

get me the facts when you can Trog, mucho appreciated :)

hmmm interesting I will test it out when I get my V2 and 901

hmm one thing is maybe the cart is small and liquid is all firmly coating the wool that why???whereas big cart will tend to have some space..where the liquid is not conentrated?that why illusion it last longer?because while at rest the liquid will fill out the empty space in the cotten wool
and thus big cart tend to last longer?

sorry for my poor explaination and lousy english here..hope u understand what I mean

let me attempt a vaguely scientific explanition..

we have fully soaked wool in the cart (some times) the volume of the cart plus the space taken up by the wool governs the amount of liquid a cart can hold..

a 1 ml cart dosnt really hold a full one ml.. the wool takes up some space.. not much but some..

the liquid passes from the cart wool to the wire wool around the atomizer.. in theory or a in a perfect world the "wetness" between cart and wire wool equalizes.. as liquid is drawn from the atomizer wire wool liquid from the carts wool replaces it.. again it equalizes..

with each draw liquid is turned into vapour.. as this happens the "wetness" of both cart and atomizer wool gets less.. the vapour produced also gets less..

a point is reached when insufficient vapour production is arrived at and the cart is considered empty.. its not an exact point simply a user definable point.. in short the user decides when they are not getting enough vapour and put in a new cart and start the process all over gain..

this can vary massively related to user demands and the fact the equalizing process dosnt work all that well.. some carts let more of their liquid go than others.. none let all of it go.. there is always some left in the cart..

in essence a crude liquid delivery system that dosnt work that well..

if one syringes out what left in the "empty" cart that will tell u how much wastage there is with each cart and how much liquid is actually used..

we are talking so many variables here an accurate figure cannot be arrived at by user experience.. cash for example who dosnt need the nicotine will make a cart last longer than someone like me that does.. a rich man will throw more away than a poor man..

Trog,

You're right about the amount of wool in the cart affecting the final capacity. With a brand new unused core I can syringe in between 0.9ml and 1.1ml in a penstyle before they are throughly soaked. With a cigar core that goes up to 1.2ml to 1.3ml and occassionally the odd one that will take 1.4ml

if u compare that with what u can get in a used but "empty" one that will give u the wastage.. a 901 mini will take ten drops with new dry wool but a used one six at the most.. that means a high wastage when carts are simple thrown away each time.. too much for me.. which is why i drip or top up..

You are absolutely right trog, the wastage factor is high if you are just throwing them away. That's how my melange mixture came to be. I top off or refill carts about 3-5 times before they get the big squeeze into the melange bottle. The 3-5 times depends on the condition of the wadding, I can't be bothered with washing it out and trying to poke it back into a core, so when it's not looking to good or wont plump back up to well with a bit of gentle tweezering, it's off to the big syringe for a squeeze. I do reuse the mouthpiece though and only buy spare cores.

Wow!! I guess I have cut down quite a bit.. I used to smoke about a pack a day or sometimes a pack and a half if I was out at the bar...

Now even if I go out to the bar a cartridge in my pen style lasts me about a day and a half...
