Let down by hyped-up juice?

I finally got around to trying some Unicorn Milk. I always like to check out the hyped-up juices even though I usually don't end up understanding their cult-like followings. UM is no exception. Not bad, but not hype worthy, IMO. Let's hear your hyped-up juice let down experience!

Hyped up to me is anything I can make myself but that costs $18+ for 30ml.

That said, most hyped ejuices get that status because ENOUGH people really like it.......but there will always be those who don't.

This is why there are hundreds or thousands of ejuice companies....you have to try and find some vendors who make juices you like. For me, there are only 2, but I'm not out trying every new company anymore like I used to.

There is probably people reading this post whose all day vape is UM. And they can't understand why you don't like it. LOL On the other hand, since I only vape 2 vendor juices, after 3 years of trying others, there will be people who would go "ewww!" if I asked them to vape it all day....or even once.

Ordered from HaloCigs a few days ago..

Not sure if they're good but I've read loads of reviews for Halo products and they seem to have a good reputation, the price also seems fairly good for the price of ejuices... try that out maybe??

I'll update this once I get my order (I hope I do)

Though I have tried vaporfi before and their juice is pretty sick! You can make your own mixes and blends :O.. bit pricey though..

I'll admit I'm huge fan of Nicoticket, but quite a few of their juices that others swear by do nothing for me. I've recently learned that the device your using has much more to do with it than I had realized. I noticed a small difference when I switched from a Nautilus mini to a Subtank, but it was more of a temp thing and a little more flavor than a different taste. I'm now starting my 3rd week with my REO's and I can taste all the various things people have talked about but I never tasted in individual juices before. It's made most things better, there are a couple that have fallen out of rotation as well. I've also gone back a tasted everything I have and that's put some things into my regular rotation that I would have thrown away otherwise.

So when you hear taste is subjective and you find you don't like something that quite a few people do, try it out in some different gear and save it for the future.

The list of hyped-up flavors that have let me down is quite long.
In fact, I have yet to have any hyped-up flavors that are really any better than any others.

Yet I still keep trying one or two every now and then.
Like banging my head against a wall.

I'd probably say that Five Pawns was the least disappointing juice line I've tried so far.
But I don't really count them because they don't have a cult-like following.

I could explain the cult-like followings for you.
But I don't want to piss off any of the various "armies" roaming this place.

If it's the Cuttwood version? Yeah ,it was ok..Not anything i would get on the horn about..
It's in my mix of vapes..One day i'm in the mood for it,the next i might not be..

I've been testing out the Charlie Noble stuff lately..Their stuff is ok also so far..
Nice price and with taste being subjective..People may like them a lot or just think they are ok..

I'm in test mode at the moment..So i'm all over the board lately trying juices..

I tried a few 0 nic versions from different manufacturers and like you was not jumping off the stool, nor did the koolaid aid man come crashing threw the wall. I'm aware a lot of people do not have B&M stores near them but if you do, try these flavors first. It happened to me with Mr. Good Vape honey baby, it's good but nowhere near the reviews I seen for it.

None of the reviews mentioned any creaminess to it. Live and vape I guess.

I don't buy into the hype for any juices, so I don't ever experience a big let down. I will say though, that nearly all of the premium juices that I sample are good. Some are really good. And, once in awhile, I will get something that is not as good, but I still eventually end up vaping it. But, since I only purchase premium brand juices that only specialize in a select few flavor blends, I very rarely am stuck with something unvapable. In fact, its been so long that I don't remember the last time that happened.

Working in a vape store, I have the privilege of testing all of the samples that we get from a wide array of vendors. I am amazed at how many of these juices get past quality control. We get a lot of samples where the entire staff goes w.t.f. I try and give everyone a fair shake, but I do have a golden rule that I try to follow. If you have a juice that is labeled, oh lets say "milk", I damn well better be able to go get a glass of milk, drink it, take a vape, and go" damn, tastes like milk". Sorry milk juice makers, not a one of your juices taste like milk. Just stop already. Also, stupid names which give no indication as to what I am fixing to inhale. How many fresh smurfs go into a 30 ml bottle of Papa Smurf? I realize that variety is the spice of life, but come on "unicorn puke", " panty dropper" and everyone else that has a f**ked up name, just stop. Of coarse, as always, just one persons opinion.

Many of the premium e-juices though are more complicated flavor profiles.

"deep fried ice cream with powdered sugar" or "creamy peanut butter yogurt with touch of hazelnut" are too long for a name. And not very catchy. It needs its own name to put on the nicely presented glass bottle.

I tried The Milkman and didn't think it tasted like milk (on fresh build and cotton bacon) and found it kind of disgusting IMO.

I can name a few hyped flavors that I was NOT disappointed by...
--Cosmic Fog Milk and Honey
--Halo Belgian Chocolate
--Halo Tribeca
--Tasty Vapor Banana Nut Bread
--Tasty Vapor Caramel Popcorn
--Vermillion River Kentucky Premium

Granted, some of them were hyped a long time ago.
I know there were a few more, but I don't remember them anymore.
;)

But the list of those that did not live up to the hype for me is so very, very much longer.
And I would try to list them, but most of you wouldn't have heard of them anyway.

And that, really, is the whole and entire point, for those that get what I'm saying.

The ones that were hyped back in the day, you have not heard of.
And the ones that are hyped today, you won't remember in a few years.

And very, very few of them are going to be any better or worse than any before them or since them.

Flavor is a subjective thing Carwashromance. You might not like something I really like and the same for me with what you really like. Heck, some days I don't like something I liked yesterday or last week.

I imagine that a juice a lot of people like may have a better chance to be good for you than one that fewer people like, but ultimately that's not going to guaranty anything for you.

When I was buying pre-mixed juice (before I got into making my own) I tried some of the faves out there and most of what I tried didn't do much for me. IMO, be yourself, learn what you like and go with that more than what is most popular.

Best of luck with it :)
