Let me Introduce myself

Hello, Dear vaping community. My name is Richard. I have been a vaper for a year and a half now and i must say, I've thoroughly enjoyed my experience.

I started vaping back in August 2014. My girlfriend was the one who got me into it. She didn't like that i smoked. I didn't even know what vaping was when she suggested to get into vaping . My first ever vape was a Kangertech EVOD which my girlfriend bought for my birthday. Amazing little thing. I used that until January 2015. I got gifted an Innokin Itaste SVD and a Vamo V2 by the girlfriends mother. I then started to use a vast variety of tanks which the girlfriends mother let me borrow. I can't remember the names of them.

Around June last year, I wanted to get into sub ohm vaping and try something new. I purchased a SMOK M80 Plus and a Kanger Subtank Plus. They blew me away. The airflow, the vapour, the flavour. It was amazing. I noticed that sub ohm tanks also work better with me due to the increased air flow, Along with high VG liquids.

I was happily vaping this combination until disaster struck around August time. The M80 suddenly got very hot in my pocket which was weird because i knew i locked it before i put it in my pocket. The M80's do have a history of autofiring. I didnt do any research before i bought it. i would've purchaced a different mod if i would have known. Anyway. I pulled it out of my pocket and noticed that it wouldn't fire anymore. I smelled the 510 on the M80 and it was burned out. I still don't know to this day what caused it to spontaneously combust. Maybe it was the autofiring I mentioned earlier.

So my girlfriend mum gave me her iTaste mvp 2 until i had the funds to purchase another sub ohm mod. It killed me. I was so used to sub ohming and having increased airflow that being back on 1.8 ohm coils killed my lungs/throat. I have asthma so that's probably why i got so affected by it.

Around October, I purchased the Aspire Odyssey kit (Aspire Pegasus V1 and the Triton). I absolutely loved it. The tank had much more airflow than the Subtank plus and the coils were much better quality. I used the 0.4 ohm ones. I also never had any spitback from the triton apart from when i accidentally got liquid in the chimney.

In january this year, I dropped my pegasus and it stopped reading atty's. I was panicked because i had no vape. I was back on the MVP for a few days until my new pegasus V2 arrived. Luckily, UK ecig store were having a sale so i got a new pegasus very cheap. Aspire even replaced the one i dropped. I just had to pay for delivery.

Now to the present. I recently purchased a SMOK X cube 2. i've wanted it for a while but didnt have the money to get it. I also purchased 2 tanks. The Aspire Cleito and the Uwell Crown. I heard good reviews about these tanks and once again UK ecigstore were having a sale so i purchased them. I also purchased a pair of Samsung 25R's for the mod. I'm also going to purchase a pair of LG HG2's once I have a bit more money.

Can people that have the Xcube 2 and/or any of the tanks i've recently purchased tell me your experience with it/them so far? Is there any tips and tricks i should know about?

I'd like to thank a fellow member named Mooch for his battery testing. It has helped me alot knowing which batteries to avoid and which batteries to get. I was so scared i was gonna blow my hand off due to having the wrong battery but their posts made me buy with confidence knowing that the batteries i purchase will be fit for purpose.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to read this post. I do apologise for the length of it. Feel free to tell me your experience with vaping.

Once again, Thanks for reading and Happy Vaping.

Hi, and welcome! My, but you've had some mod issues! I'm glad you found a few things that work for you.

I have a Crown and quite like it. No tricks; just fill and vape. It does tear through juice, though :).

Batteries can be scary - especially if you don't fully understand the relationship between battery draw and coil ohms. Might I suggest you read @Baditude blog on batteries? It's a great source of information and will help in your purchase decisions.

OP, welcome to ECF and best of luck.

The Crown is a good sub ohm tank. Folks use different techniques but here is a great video about the proper priming and break in of your new coil/head:

Also, don't overfill the Crown and after cleaning make sure all the Orings are properly seated and lubed with juice before you assemble it.

Good luck!

UK ecig store had a sale?
Wow, wonders never cease.
Normally it's way too expensive.

Thanks for reading. I got the Cleito for 14.99 and the Crown for 15.99. I think its a good deal personally :p. sometimes their stuff is overpriced though, unfortunately.

Welcome to ECF. Sorry can't help you on the advice aspect; I use RTA's or RDA's. All about the Flavor here

That's no problem. Thanks for reading

Outstanding video!! Very good info. Even through I do tend to favor the Ni200 coils more.

Hello & welcome @TheManliest , from not so sunny Cornwall :)

Re UK ecig store - they were banned from AAE-C UK, not for their prices, but due to their dreadful customer service if anyone had an issue with anything they bought from them :(

Hi "comrades",
My name is Thomas and I'm 3 months in vaping. No "analogs" at all. Ex smoker for more than 35 years, 40 c/day, bought an istick40+GS tank (X2 to be sure no accident will push me back), since then use 18mg nic , last month just unflavored base pg/vg 70/30. I feel already much better, and managed to introduce a couple of friends to vaping. Hope the better for you all!

Oh really? From what I've heard, they always had good customer service. Hopefully, I'll have no issue with my tanks. Thanks for telling me and thanks for reading :D
