My boyfriend has the Aspire Pegasus, I quit smoking and started vaping too. I had a few AIOs, but I recently got myself a Pegasus and a Pegasus mini. I bought my batteries online, and just realized that they are not flat top. Will they still work or do I have to go buy flat tops. I already bought the Cleito 120 tank not knowing it's not compatible ( my bf also has the Cleito tank and the mini has a Nitalus tank) Thanks for the help!

Hi and welcome,
Yes, you need a flat top 18650 battery. (avoid Amazon/Ebay/sheeple media)
Something like Samsung 30Q 18650 3000mAh 15A Battery
The devices you have are limited to 60W and 50W (mini).
They are fine for the low wattage tanks that came in the kits, but will struggle (most any single battery device will also struggle) to power the Clieto 120.

You can use those cells in an 18650 flashlight, please DO NOT use them for vaping.

Hmm. Ultrafires. We have an old saying here: if the name of your battery includes the word "fire" that's just what might happen. They've never been tested by our resident wizard @Mooch so I wouldn't use them, even if you find a way to wedge them in. You need to exercise caution when choosing cells and the vendor you buy from. eBay is famously riddled with fakes. Check out the list of recommended suppliers at the bottom of this page. You are on the right track...Persevere.:thumbs:
We all had to start somewhere and most have taken a false step (or three in my case ).

Best of luck kicking the smokes...It will be worth it...You are worth it.

Cheers

You need an 18650 battery that has 10 - 30 amps. Those Trustfires are lucky if they have 4 amps.

  • If uncertain about the quality or type of a battery, don't buy or use it. Do not use over-the-counter alkaline batteries (wrong chemistry) like those from Radio Shack, etc. To insure getting authentic name brand IMR batteries, buy only from trusted battery supply vendors such as:

Welcome and glad you joined.
Since vaping is totally scalable, the choice you have can be overwhelming. The main thing to remember is, part of vaping is all about you the vaper, being in control and the freedom to fix/tailor almost any aspect of vaping you feel you need to improve upon. If vaping was less complicated, I know I would not be satisfied the trade off.
Next time you think you should spend your vape money, might want to run the purchase by us ECF members in the proper forum like:
