So I'm getting desperate here. I let my 1300 mah spinner go dead about 3 weeks ago. I have been stuck without a charger ever since so it went completely dead over this time. Sadly, I went analog/ suffered through cravings. I ordered a charger the other day and pretty much ran to the mailbox this morning because I NEEDED a vape.

4.2v usb charger. The light will not turn red and the Spinner has failed to take enough charge to even turn on when disconnected from the charger. When I put it on the charger, the button light comes on on the Spinner, and the battery light remains green yet flashed red every 5 or so seconds, or else it just stays green. I have been attempting to get this baby to charge all day. I'm really bummed here. Any ideas?

The post is connecting to the charger, and all contacts are completely clean. The spinner worked fine 3 weeks ago and you wouldn't think it would break from not using it.

It seems that a lot of ppl have asked questions regarding charging the Vision Spinner, but I have been searching all day and have not found someone asking this same question.

Thanks.

Sounds like you may have a faulty charger. Do you have anything else to test it on with? I had ordered a charger before and it did the same thing. Turned out to be the charger. Try something else on it and see if it will charge that.

And remember always have backups! I have like 3 chargers and several egos and a Vamo.

The battery in the spinner probably dropped below the min voltage while it was sitting dead. Some chargers will trickle charge a battery in this state at a much reduced charging rate to try and bring it back to life. This may be what the charger was doing when the light would stay green and flash red every few seconds. I don't know for sure if an ego charger has this function or not, I know quality 18650 chargers do. Maybe just let it charge for a little while and see, just make sure it is supervised, preferably on something that won't burn if the battery vents.

That's not good... As Vapoor said, turning a Spinner off and on again usually resets it, but if you can't do it, I have no idea what else to tell you.

I have one Spinner that behaves funny on my charger--when I screw it on, the red light on the charger turns into green, then red, then blinking red, so I have to screw it all the way in and then back half a turn or so to get a steady red light, but even with that maneuver the red light sometimes just keeps on blinking--it never does that when I charge my eGos on it--I have a joyetech fast charger. However, my Spinner does get charged, with or without the blinking red, and the light eventually turns green...

Do you have a spare 510 charger maybe? From an old Blu kit? ;) No?

Do you have a brick and mortar vape store in your neighborhood?

I own both Twists and Spinners. On one of my Twists the button dislodged and wouldn't fire. I could tell because there was no clicking sound when the button was pressed. I CAREFULLY disassembled it and reseated the button. Works fine now. Be very careful as the wires inside are extremely fine and apt to break. Have done this on 3 Twists (friends) and on one had to re solder a wire to the pcb.

Unfortunately it sounds like you let the lithium cell drain past it's minimum discharge level.
Even if not used, cells will slowly discharge on their own and especially more so when connected to an electronic switch like the spinner, there will be a parasitic drain that can deplete the cell beyond the safe recharge level that the circuitry in your charger allows.

It's a long shot but if you can, go ahead and test the charger with a different unit(see if it charges something else) but don't hold your breath. Be prepared to purchase another spinner.

A gentle tap on the table has unstuck many stuck eGo buttons. ;)

Hiya Vapoor!

Bad case of - Have not clue!

Find someone that can read a multi meter, And HAS one. Have them read the Charger output.

STOP TAKING THINGS APART!

To add - If you only have the Spinner - Hopefully you just got a WAKE UP call. Always have a backup, and a backup for the backup would be a good idea.

I'm afraid this may indeed be the case. That's why all Li-Ion batteries are stored at 50% capacity...

And this is another reason why topping off is encouraged(on edc items)rather than waiting for the light to blink and let you know it's time to charge again. Plus this way you don't have to wait as long for a complete recharge.
