Cable here too.... phone, TV, and Internet.... too many "eggs" in one basket, but convenient..... that's why we got the media box.... looking to cut the cable bill if possible
We need to start doing that.... currently with TWC but have been getting offers from Verizon. I always start to think of the hassle of changing email addresses when I look at cable offers....lol
That's the weird part.... the offers say we can keep our same number.... I don't get it...... This roku box isn't as great as advertised so I may end up changing providers though.... would be a decent savings....
We play the cable game with the same company (small town and only has one). That means switching from me to DH. This last time, they let us keep the same email address.
We tried that here but they go by address ..... guess too many peeps were playing that game down here..... it makes me so mad every time I pay the #$%#$@ cable bill ......
Wish I had choices...Guess I do... Hughes but really spendy... So I have frontier for phone/webz and Directv for tv, can't get dish here or cable and no other phone either
Hi Joan!! Interesting that you can get Direct but not Dish.... Hughes is awfully high priced and lots of hidden costs for "over use" if you bandwidth exceeds base plan..... Is frontier the local company? Ain't country living great???
That is why I don't have Hughes... plus some say when you get to a certain point, even though you are paying out the wazoo, they throttle you back. Frontier is all we have... Suddenlink is 6 miles down the hill... they do cable but won't run up here because not enough people on the mountain. I am on the wrong side of the mountain to get the signal
Wow.... you just picked the wrong spot..... just kidding.... anyplace where you are is truly heaven even if you can't get all the tech goodies.... there's something to be said for not being too connected..... but, I don't know how I'd react if I was back in SE OH again with no DSL......
They may have it there now... No real complaints with what I have until the power goes out. The landline phones die before cell phones. Guess someone stole their generator and they have no plans to replace it. I don't have a cell phone. They keep talking about running city water up here but the base charge will be $60 /mo and I have no problems with my spring... just fear that when they do run it up here they will mess up my spring somehow.
I remember the rural water supply I was on in OH...... the pressure was terrible and to make it worse, I was on a ridge so it was even lower...lol. the spring water is so sweet probably, I'd want to keep it as long as I could....
