Its really quite bizarre to me still... almost 3 weeks in. I went threw these stages of coarse (maybe a lot easier then some, for I am not really put off or want to give up)...

1. I want something that taste like a cig... *thinking* (I can't believe that I would ever want to vap <smoke> a desert or fruit)

2. Well tobacco tasting juice is not quite "tobaccoy" enough... kinda boring, don't like the smell of cigs anymore... want to try something different... Maybe a flavor I like a lot in day to day eating... perhaps something refreshing.

3. Surprise that the other samples you got (just to try a variety) taste better then the ones that you bought you thought you would REALLY like.

4. Trying more like those.

All in all... I would like to say, I am completely surprised at what I like to vap. And would have gone a long time not getting something totally satisfying if not for my wonderful DH picking some flavors. I was against desert type flavors. Leaning more toward fruit. I LOVE eating fruit. The vap is nice... but leave my tongue feeling the same way that it feels when I eat too much fruit (if that make sense). However the more creamy or decadent, The more I like the vap.

I guess what I am saying is... I guess it is good to try things that you think you might not like. Not that I am a pro at picking juice or vaping even. Just that in the short time I have been vaping I am totally surprised by what I like to vap most.

I will continue to try new juices, and venture out into the vaping world. But I am glad to say that I have 2 fave out of the 5 I have tried so far. :) And they are not the ones that I would have guessed.

i know what you mean, i got a bottol of bannan bread just to try, and love it now to get more.

Banana Flavors vape really nicely. :)
Ms T's Bananas Fosters Coffee has been my "Go To" Flavor for a couple of years now. I've tried to replicate it, and haven't hit the "sweet spot" yet, so I just keep buying.

I'd heard a lot of ECF users touting Velvet Vapor's - Vanilla Almond Tobacco. So, ordered a sampler from them.
Kudo's to VV on the ULTRA quick shipping BTW. Ordered Tue night, 2 days before T-Giving, and the order was in my box today! Only on my first tank, but the Almond flavor really coming through on my Ego-C!

PERFECT example
Banana is not my fave as far as food goes, don't like banana candy/ fake banana. But banana nut bread sounds like a vap I would really like. Now that I know what direction of taste I have for vaping.

It took creamy neutral flavors for me to find that happy vape spot. Totally diffrent than I thought i would like when i started for sure.

I agree, about the surprise of what flavors would really click with me! I thought it would have been tobacco for sure, and when I didn't like them, I was shocked. (Like I said, though, one was from a mall kiosk, and another from an overpriced company). I never pictured "smoking" a Snickerdoodle Cookie or Peach Bellini Tea! :vapor:

When I first started vaping I got a few different tobacco flavors and they were alright so I stuck to a few that I liked, such as RY 4, and some of the mild, subtly sweet tobaccos. Food flavors scared the hell outta me because I tried a blueberry cheesecake once that tasted like Nyquil - yuck. Then when I got brave enough, I tried an apple pie that tasted like ammonia. Those experiences just scared me straight and I never really tried anymore food or drink or dessert type flavors. I just happily vaped my tobacco flavors. However, a few months ago I found a nice melon flavor that came as a free sample with my other juice. So last month I ventured out into some more food and fruit flavors and came to find out I LOVE vaping maple french toast and buttered rum, not at the same time of course. Now my tobacco flavors have been sitting here untouched. lol So, I'm having fun trying things again to see what I might like. :)

I got here to ECF before I started vaping, and I read posts about banana flavors and cake flavors and all that, and I knew they were insane. Smoking a cake? Blurgh. But tobacco flavors just made me crave analogs and I got tired of the menthol that let me make it through the first few weeks. I started exploring and wound up at Ms T's Bakery, where just about everything is a dessert flavor. My standard order these days is Snickerdoodle Cookie, Peanut Butter Cookie, Blueberry Pie, Apple Pie and Banana Nut Bread. I rotate through.

So I guess it is a common experience for some to believe at first that vaping desserts is kinda crazy, and I was one of them. I was also only interested in tobacco flavors at first and vaped a lot of menthol although I don't like menthol analogs. I don't have many favs because I am picky, but of my favs only one of them is a tobacco flavor.

The juices you hated are my favorites. It may be the vendor or that wacky "every vaper taste vap different" thing. I got my blueberry cheesecake from virgin vapors, and my grandma's apple pie from juicy vapors. And they are So outstanding. Taste just like the real thing. The really weird thing it I bought the blueberry cheesecake as kinda a novelty vap. I was so intrigued from the moment I saw that flavor. It ended up being DH and my favorite! Weird how that happens.

I lean more toward creamy/ savory/ sweet flavors. Now I have a huge wishlist of things to try.

I tried two tobacco flavors and hated them. I moved right onto baked goods and fruit and I love them :vapor: Everyone has a unique taste experience. Now I'm going back to tobacco to some GOOD vendors; I had gotten my kit at a mall, so that may explain my uneasiness of tobacco juices.

I got my first e-cig at a mall kiosk too. Now the vendor is a really nice guy, but it wasn't until I started to buy flavors, even tobacco flavors from online vendors recommended here that I started to solely vap. For a year I vaped and smoked analogs. Its been 13 days without analogs now.
