Hi guys and girls.

Recently i bought an aromamizer plus v2 and have been messing with it for some days now.

I tried the mesh kit which gave a cool vape, not something crazy. Decent flavor and vapor production.

My second build on the postless dual coil was the best. Effortless vapor and flavor in a matter of milliseconds. Excellent. I then ripped the whole thing apart because i was curious to test the mesh deck.

Now after torching the mesh coil (not enough cotton under the upper corners created burnt spots) i reinstalled the dual coil deck. It's kinda ok but I'm not getting nowhere near the vapor production i used to get with the second build.

I think i might be underwicking it. Not really sure what the problem is.

Any ideas on wicking the dual postless deck??

Let's talk Aromamizer plus v2.

Thanks

Guys,

I seriously don't know what i am doing wrong here.

I am getting cotton flavored hits. I wait till the break in period is over for the cotton and then i get burnt flavor above 70 watts. This is supposed to go way over 70w with no dry or burnt hits.

Any ideas?

I let the cotton tails longer this time and stuck them deep in the wicking holes.

Ok even though i got zero replies let me give you an update.

Apparently the problem was the liquid.

I changed coils to premade by coilology. Can't remember exactly the kind but they are hefty and ohm at 0.14. I used the included cotton by coilology which was THICK. I mean i had problems stuffing it through the coil but in the end i got through. That took care of the wicking but the flavor was still off.

Until i changed the e liquid. Now it has tons of flavor. I don't know what the problem was with the original liquid. It's cookies and berries by philotimo, the same i tried on my obs Engine 2. I bought more concentrated flavor and threw in the mix but with little effect.... The one i am using now is again by philotimo but the chocolate brownies flavor which is much more intense.

I cut the coils legs at 5mm and i have no hot spots. All clear. I can vape ok until 90-95 watts. Above that i get dry hits.

I guess I'll have to wick it just once more to get the perfect vape.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Mike

@mike_gr, I to have become a member of the Plus V2 club.

Only just finished cleaning one properly so that it can be put into service with the mesh deck.

But from what I've heard with the wicking is that you're supposed to cut it near the o ring on the deck for length and just lightly tuck the ends of the tails in the wicking channels.

But some of the best folks to give you some ideas are @debinnv and @bombastinator, they'll definitely be able to give you more information than me.

I didn’t even know there was a mesh deck available. I just ordered one. Been vaping DL lately so my chops on the aromamizer are rusty, but it’s got a big big chamber so it can take big big coils, it does pretty well with tight wick. The thing it’s a bit twitchy about is wick length. Less so than most attys because of its design, but it’s still not unlimited, and the air seal needs to be made (which is why erring towards thick wick is good)

70 watts is a whole lot. More wattage doesn’t give you more vapor it just gives you a hotter vape. I don’t recall going over 40 for anything but testing.

Just tried using some of the Vandy Vape SS316L 200 Mesh on a spool.

I cut approx 17mm to match the mesh strips that come in the Advanced Plus V2 kit, it reads at 0.1310 ohms stable on my trusty SL class and yes their is a little overhang, about 1mm if that.

Tried wicking with 2 pieces of Rayon as there's a lot of space to fill, fluffed, thinned and trimmed.

Filled with some plain base and it went and wet itself, so back to the drawing board.

Thinking that you'll just need to fluff and trim to length using the bottom of the deck, so going to try that next.

Take 2.
