Hey guys, I've had the problem before but it always end's up charging the cell within 15 minutes to an hour. It has now been sitting for 5 hours just like this! I'm using the Nitecore UM20 and LG HG2's.

The charger is designed to not over charge the cells and supposed to stop when 100%. I'm under the impression that since this is one of my married pairs for my Kbox160, I should be leaving that battery that already shows 100% until the second battery shows 100%. Am I right in this assumption or should I just remove the cell that shows 100%? Remember this my "Married" pair here!

Also once both batteries are 100%.. I should not be trying to plug the charger back in to top off.. correct? I used to do this with my non paired HG2's for my single cell devices each time..

Anyhow, should I remove the cell on the right already or just keep waiting?

Edit: This is the 2amp wall charger I'm using with the UM20..

I tried that before but not this time with this pair. It's now showing 95% so I think I'm going to wait this one out. Unfortunately though, I don't have a Voltage Meter. If this continues I'm definitely going to consider one. Thank you man!

I just never had it sit there for 5 hours. Had me a bit worried.

The Nitecore UM20 Charge 2 batteries with 500 mAh, while usually the last 5% - 7% of the remaining capacity is a trickle Charge. 5-6 hours will be a normal time for an almost empty battery.

Most of those simple chargers are using a simple Voltage detection, in order to Show the current Situation on the Display.

If you use the HG2 in a single cell device, most probably they have a different state of remaining capacity when you start to Charge them. It can explain the difference....

Thanks for the reply!

I do understand that the single cells I use in single cell devices will be different when it comes to the remaining capacity. Meanwhile, my 2 married pairs are much more closer to the same percentage reading on the charger... usually between 44 and 47% when put on the charger. I also notice that my married pairs for the most part.. charge evenly.. but sometimes one will get a head of the other around the 90% mark on the UM20.

I used to use my UM20 on my laptop and through my modem and TWC cable box but it wouldn't charge both at the same time until I started using it through this new 2amp AC adapter. Hell, I can charge 2 cells and my cellphone simultaneously now with that 2amp charger!

Please consider that the display of the UM20 has (like in many other simple chargers) a certain deviation that can explain the different results of so called "married pairs". Further the HG2 tends to drift apart.
In germany a Guy name Light-Wolff measured over 60 complete cycles the performance of the HG2 (as far as I remember with even low discharge current). The batteries lost between 10%-12% on Capacity.
