First, I saw a good deal on 18650 after someone mentioned gotsmok.com from another post.
-Do you know anywhere else I can get a good deal?

Second, they offered INR18650 20R (Samsung), 18650 35A (Efest), and 35 AMP 18650 IMR (Efest).
-What are the difference between 20R, 35A, 35AMP IMR?

-No, I use gotsmok, vaporjoes, and forums for deals..nothing else I know of right now.

-The 20R, I'm getting mixed things with 20 or 22 Amp continuous rating for when I google them. So we'll call it 20 Amp continuous. The battery is capable of delivering 20 Amps continually until discharged.. It is highly recommended that you don't push your batteries to their limits like that though.

The efest batteries are the same battery.. Check whatever site you're looking at. Is one button top and the other flat top? The purple efests are both IMR batteries/high drain cells. The 35 Amp is the continuous rating on these. They're becoming popular with mechanicals and high power output regulated mods, like the DNA30's.

Are you using a mechanical?

I buy ALL of my mod batteries and chargers from RTD Vapor. Reliable source of authentic brand names at reasonable cost and fast shipping.

All the batteries that you listed are high drain hybrid batteries of the ultra-high amp variety.

Samsung INR 20R is 2000 mah with 22 amp continuous discharge rate.

The purple Efest is a 2500 mah with 35 amp continuous discharge rate. More battery time and higher amps.

Thanks Baditude. I didnt know these were not authentic. They had a name brand and assumed it was.
Im a newbe and lack basic ideas on batteries.

I actually didn't say anything about your batteries not being authentic. You didn't provide a link so I only know the brand and model you provided.

Hybrid is a newer class of Li-ion battery. Protected ICR is the older technology, and then came IMR (Li-Mn). Hybrid batteries are a mix of ICR and IMR batteries.

The counterfeit trade in the world market of batteries is alive and well in China, where the majority of our batteries originate. Counterfeit batteries can be the rejects of the better brands, or can be used batteries harvested from older laptop computers, rewrapped & sold as new batteries. There are vendors who buy authentic brands directly from the best manufacturers, one of which is RTD Vapor.
