Press Relese after FDA findings.
https://www.smokestikusa.com/smokestik release.pdf

SmokeStik has released the following statement:
"As a company that is categorized in the 'e-cigarette' industry, Smokestik is both aware and concerned about the FDA's findings released yesterday regarding electronic cigarettes. While we cannot speak specifically to the components of njoy or Smoking Everywhere's cartridges, we do understand from public sources that these cartridges are imported from China. As many of our distributors are aware, as of last month, SmokeStik’s cartridges are now made domestically. Moreover, all of the ingredients in Smokestik’s cartridges are certified by independent laboratories and most importantly; do NOT contain any of the carcinogens referenced in the Final Report on FDA Analyses. SmokeStik has always presented its products as an 'alternative' for responsible, adult smokers, and not as a smoking cessation product. SmokeStik has NEVER sold flavored cartridges such as those referenced in the FDA's Report. As a company, we oppose this type of marketing and discourage teenagers from using our products."

I would say that it's quite possible to have something "look" identical, yet still be completely different.

Legally, I don't believe a company can claim that a product imported is in fact produced domestically - however, the components to produce the item may very well be imported.

my point is that they both claim to have carts that are made and filled in the US.

Since I have dealt with a local SmokeStik distributor (ByByButts), I tend to believe the statement. Crystal didn't start out planning to be a distributor. She had bought her first e-cig at a local mall at a much higher price than the ST. Then she stumbled across SmokeStik...and liked that they fill their cartridges in a pharma setting. (Their hardware components may be foreign.) That's the main reason she hooked up with them. I'd guess that ST can provide proof.

Both claim to be made in the US...

SmokeStik HARDWARE (ie - batteries, atomizers, chargers, etc) are made in China as are 99% of the "standard mini" PV's on the market as far as I know. But, Their cartridges are now made in the US as of the date given in the notice posted on their website (which was also sent out to customers via email).

Libertystix do NOT look like the same thing as SmokeStik (different charger, packaging, etc) so it could possibly be a 501. Someone with more experience with 501's would have to confirm or deny that for you.

My wife and I both personally use SmokeStik (they were our first and still our primary PV's although we refill our cartridges now instead of buying new ones to save money) and I can confirm that they (all 3 models) are RN-4081's, not 501's.
