Why so many members take issue with the FDA

Um...wow, people sure do get nasty sometimes over people disagreeing with them.

I guess I'm weird, I usually take a disagreement as, well, part of a discussion.

Great response, I really have no words.

I'm confused now.

Are you saying that my response solves your riddle about how to pick up things that are too weird to figure out?

I agree. I think that's absolutely bizarre. Besides the fact that if you have to tell your doctor about a drug, do you really want such an uninformed person to be prescribing you anything? The doctor couldn't have come to conclusions on his own based on your symptoms? "Oh yeah, Mr. Jones, you know, that DOES sound good. Let's start you out on...how many milligrams did the commercial say?"

The whole advertisement to the public thing is so freakish I don't even know which end to pick it up by.

Ok so my earlier post was deleted by Retired1 and as he is the mod he can do that if he thinks it's necessary. But I try very, very hard to never post anything anywhere online that isn't polite or positive or funny; I am never hateful or nasty. When I die and my great great grandkids go searching for my life on the Internet I want them to be in proud.

So I just want to set the record straight that my deleted post was not part of the argument, but rather an attempt at lightening the mood around here. It was directed at no one.

The fact that it now appears I was being nasty makes me sad. :-(

The initial comments that I made (which were then derailed by an insult) still stand and I'd love to see an answer regarding them (esp. the difficulty in determining what quantity of total juice along with which nic strengths could logically be considered safe).

Technically - based on resources - if California were to break from the nation we could function as our own country. (Not that I'm suggesting it, I rather dig the Other Forty-Nine.)

ETA: Actually, I'm always pretty surprised at some of the things CA cracks down on...considering how we're supposed to be a bunch of hippies.
