Lol I'm terrible at DIY and it may be too much work for when you're first starting out but the basics are you mix some pg/vg add a nicotine base and a few drops of each flavor depending on the size you are mixing up. I found this recipe through a Google search e-Liquid Calculator:: DIY Menthol Absinthe. I'd say start a thread in the DIY section and they could help you get started if you're looking to go that direction.

Also found this juice Absinthe Minded | Absinthe and Black Licorice Flavored E-Liquid only at Mountain Oak Vapors at MOV and they have the option to add menthol to it so that may be a good one to try out. Never copped anything from MOV but they are pretty well reviewed from what I've seen here on ECF.

I'm a huge Black Licorice fan, and Mount Bakers is pretty great. But after I used a tank of it...I realized that I don't really like vaping the flavor for some reason. But I'd start with them since it's cheap.

And you don't need to do any DIY at all (I still haven't ventured into it) but you can get "burst menthol drops" at places like Niquid.com where you literally just drop 1-2 drops of menthol concentrate into a tank when you're filling it. This stuff is super strong, but it'll give you what you're after I think. Just be sure to read how many to do per tank and use cautiously; in the sense that it's sometimes too much menthol. Just research some menthol threads on here- I know there was one recently where people where talking about other versions of the drops that will make anything menthol. Good to mix with any flavor.

Oh, also just to note, BL is what I consider a tank commitment. The flavor tends to stick around even after a good wash, so you'll probably have to soak in vodka overnight to really get rid of it. Just a note before you put it in any old tank. Best of luck.

there is also stuff on the market called Koolada that adds a "coolness" to the flavor without it being too much menthol. and yes you can buy a menthol juice and just add a bit to the black licorice in your tank. start with 1/3 menthol to 2/3 black licorice. 50/50 of each may be too strong af a menthol and cover up the black licorice. you will have to try it and see.

Mt Baker's black licorice was about all I vaped for my first year, until I upgraded from an Aspire ET-S. Then I found the flavor much too strong, especially with the 3 extra flavor shots I ordered. I'm fairly certain Mt. Baker has discontinued black licorice, but luckily, I have about 300mL here in case I ever wax nostalgic for the taste of Vick's Formula 44.

Vixen Vapors sells Black Licorice.
You can get 5 levels of menthol added.
Shipping is free on Fridays, so order then if you are interested.

I vape it about 2 days a month.
Only reason I tried it was because of all the Pluid hysteria back in the day.

I didn't even think about that- there are other vendors who will add menthol to any flavor you order. Boom. Should be the easiest solution.
